To CRT or not to CRT; That is the Question

I am trying to decide if I should spend time looking for a CRT ressie when my 180 days hits. I'm the only one of three who even has a desire to go, but DH said if I want to, we'll go. And he pleasantly meant it. His offer wasn't forced or resigned. DD will be 13 and is not swoonie at all over characters and hates noise. We saw a Youtube video of a meal, and it seemed fairly chaotic and loud inside. The excitement for me is eating in the castle - as in THE CASTLE. We've eaten at BOG and Akershus, but there's something about this castle for me. We have two vegetarians in the family, so I'm thinking breakfast would be the meal to do if we go. But that would be one heck of a price tag for breakfast as we would probably pay OOP. I know, I know. Disney prices. I understand that and would be willing to pay the price if it's truly, truly an experience not to be missed. If it's really not all that spectacular keeping in mind we're not there for the princesses (and if it is indeed typically unpleasantly loud and chaotic), then I would be inclined to skip. So, with all that said, I would be grateful for your reviews of breakfast at CRT for non-princess-seeking, dining-in-relative-peace-loving guests. Thanks so much!

I think there is a lot to be said about dining in teh Castle. It is pretty darn awesome, IMO. It is loud. It can be chaotic. I like lunch and dinner, and have never had breakfast. I do think time of year can have a lot to do with how the meal turns out. I have dined in January, October and AUgust. AUgust dinner was a nightmare, with KIDS all over the place. It was pretty LOUD. That was the only time that be happened. Evey other time it was loud, that place seems to echo a bit, but it was not crazy.

If you think you woudl enjoy the meal, I would not overlook dinner even fo vegetarians. One of my dining parties got teh seasonal veg gnocchi I think, it was DELICIOUS!!!!

If you want to go then I say there is no harm in tring to get a ressie...you may not have a problem getting one. We were able to get a breakfast CRT ADR during spring break this year at our 180 day mark with NO problems.

We took our boys when they were younger because I wanted the experience of eating in the castle and never have before. I loved it, but we thought it would be a once in a lifetime experience. Then we had a girl and we'll be taking her back in October and I plan on eating there twice when she and I go for our "Princess Trip" next year (once just me and her for breakfast and once when the rest of my family flies down for my birthday dinner).

I've been for dinner once and breakfast every other time. I really enjoy breakfast there and I have never thought it was extremely loud or chaotic (maybe just lucky each time). I think it's pretty darn special in there and am a little sad I won't be going next time (H wanted to try new places). I think you should go and have that experience if that's what you want.

I find it depends on how much it really means to you to dine in the Castle. The food is "eh", it is loud, and we ended up finding it was our least favorite Character Dining experiences. For us though, it was just about the Castle and not about the characters or anything else. I personally was disappointed but that's not to say you wouldn't have a great time. Go with your heart.
