Ok, Should I go ahead and buy my airline tickets? It's killing me not to have them ( I am a planner).. I am looking to go 9/19-9/27. My only fear is that when Free dining is anounced the dates won't be available. I am a Disney Visa holder so I "hopefully" will get first crack.. We are hoping to stay at pop but I would change to any value if not available.

Opinions please....princess:

I wouldn't book them unless you are going regardless of free dining. JMHO

Good luck!!

I bought my airline tickets thinking free dining would be offered the same time as last year. Doesn't look like that is going to happen. So I still am going to Orlando, just not sure what I am doing when I get there.

I agree with ekball, wait till you're firm in your plans. If no free planning comes out will you still go to WDW? I also found that the best airfare comes out about 3.5 months prior to trip.

Southwest had a great deal, that's why I bought so early.

Unfortunately, here in Memphis we have very few choices for airlines. Frontiers coming in May and should bring some price wars with it. The airfare is still around $300pp now :(

Glad you got a good deal early. I would jump on it too!

I just checked my Air Tran flights out of PHL. Sept 1 - 10 Tonight 2 tickets were $418 Two weeks ago I purchased them on line for $340.
It is hard to say what to do?

We are going whether they offer free dining or not, my only concern is what if the 19th is not avaiable and I have to change to the 20th... I guess I could do a room only if it were one day and then package it after that. I can't go any earlier because of work stuff..
I don't want the fares to go up. Right now I can get them for $238 each and then I have $50 off e-certs for each ticket..

Luckily we got the 40% at the Poly because I bought tickets for 9/25-10/2 when I found the 49.00 each way from Detroit. I had been thinking about switching to a mod if free dining was announced to save some money but my dates are off from the ones that are circulating.

There is a cool site that actually can help you figure out if you should buy airplane tickets now .. or wait.

Google the word FARECAST and you should find it. It's pretty neat. It only works for select airports currently, but it'll give you all kinds pricing regardless.

What airlines did you get for $49.00 from Detroit? I'm trying to get a good rate from Flint or Detroit. When did you book?

We bought our tickets Feb 16. Flying USAir and have to change in Charlotte(OK with me for the price) The same flights are still only 54 each way today. I just checked. you even get to leave from the little Berry terminal which is very easy.

Southwest had the 49.00 one way deals. Comes to around 118.00 w/ tax for a round trip fair. We just booked our tickets a few days ago. Departing July 5th (thurs) and ret 7/22 (sunday). Here is the break down of price
Air$ 91.16Tax$ 13.64PFC Fee$ 9.00Security Fee$ 5.00
Total Payment:$118.80 for a round trip ticket. I thought that was a GREAT price

Cool site. It won't predict out that far but it's still neat for prices. Right now it looks like we're doing ok. I really want a non stop because of traveling with a 2 y/o..

I bought our two tickets for September in January because it was a great deal ($226 rt NWA from MSP). I just couldn't pass it up!! It's so hard to say what can happen, I just didn't want to miss out!
