To buy a park hop add on or not- that is the question

For the first time ever we are considering not buying hoppers.
We normally travel in May but will be visiting in Nov (Oct 30-Nov 17).
I feel like the last time we hopped (because there are 4 of us) it cost us $60 each time.
I am planning on having dining bookings, more time to check out DTD, swim maybe mini putt(does anyone know what time this closes)
DH thinks that since it costs the same no matter how many days (which is silly really) that we should just add it at the start.
I do thinks it something that would be nice to have but for $250 i'm sure we could make do

For the price of hoppers, you could almost pay for tickets to MNSSHP or MVMCP. I'd go that route.

But it is very much a matter of personal preference.

I'm going with my 4 year old for 3 days before a cruise and am debating not park hopping for the first time. The $120 I save I was thinking would pay for the 3 ADR's I have probably including tips. I was thinking the same as you maybe take him to AK one day and then go back to the resort to swim. Then MK one day. I keep going back and forth though because I don't know what park I'd do the third day if I couldn't park hop.

We purchased the PH three years ago and didn't use it. With two more of us this time I know we will use it. For one thing, every park day we are eating at Epcot. For another, :stitch: is capable of taking :simba: and princess: to a park while :eeyore: gets dialysis and I sleep. We're going in mid June.

We buy the hopper if we are staying at either a monorail resort, or one of the Epcot area resorts. This way we can do one park during the day, take a break to swim and have dinner, and then spend the evening at the park closest to the resort.
