Does Disney always offer discount rates for AP holders? Can somebody tell me how it works? Do you call and say you have an AP and then you can go buy one for your proof to show upon arrival or do you have to have an AP number to provide over the phone when booking your room?

If there are AP rates for either CSR or POFQ, we will more than likely purchase an AP and change our room only reservation.

Any info offered is greatly appreciated.

Hi. You don't need to buy your AP prior to making your reservation. You can even add the AP code to your existing room reservation, no need to cancel it! They will credit you the difference. When you check in, it is my understanding that you show the front desk your voucher, then activate the voucher to ap in one of the parks. Easy and could save you alot of money espesially if you return within a year.

Thank you! I will not decide on the whole AP purchase until I see discounts released. We will buy eveybody, with the exception of the individual who has book the room, a regular hopper and then purchase either the AP or hopper for him one we see what rates are.

One other quick question.......do you normally find that AP rates run out quickly or is there a large supply of these rooms up for grabs?

people call in like crazy as soon as they are announced but I think it depends on where you want to stay..fortwilderness was gone beofre they were even released( so guessing they had maybe 2) but i couldn't get through for a day and still got them for pop no problem for last Jan although they were supposed to be sold out room wise during our stay. i would call as soon as possible thought but the on phone wait was at least an hr last fall and a real pain in the neck.

I called last week for our upcoming August stay and there was plenty of availability at all of the values and moderates. I just depends on the time of the yesr.

Gracias. I guess I will just wait to see what is coming down the road. After all, I have almost 11 months. Not like I am leaving in a few weeks.

In addition, you only need to purchase 1 annual pass to get the discount -- it can even be a child's annual pass.

What is the phone # to call to check on AP rates?

I'm pretty sure I read that the AP has to be in the name of the person making the reservation and that, therefore, a child's AP doesn't work just to get the rate. But, I'm new to APs so I could be wrong !

You are correct, you cannot use a child AP in order to get a discounted room. The AP has to be in the name of the individual that is booking the room. I spoke to a CM earlier and was informed that we only need to activate it upon arrival, but it must be held by the person who made the reservation.

This may be a silly question but what is the "AP " discount?
Thanks!

When do discounted rates come out for AP holders for June of 2005? Is it at the beginning of the year or more towards spring? Also, if I book a room at AP rate and realize the dates I booked won't work, is there a penalty for changing or cancelling my reservations. Thanks.
