DH and I are going to Disney in May and again at some point within the next year for a total of 6 park days. We have 6 days left on our 10-day Park Hoppers with no expiration which we bought in 2005 but we're considering buying an AP if room discounts come out.

We've reserved our room through AAA and are already getting a discount on our room through them, but I see that the AP discount, if given, might give us a discount of anywhere from $15-40/night more than the AAA discount. I know that we can't use both AAA and AP discounts together. We're just trying to figure out if it's worth us buying an AP to get the deeper room discount and dining discounts. We are DVC owners too, so we would get $100 off of the AP purchase price. Is there a list of all of the restaurants that take the DDE card? That might make a difference for us.

Help us decide....

To answer your question very honestly..do not AP if you are only doing it for resort discounts....they are not a for sure thing and not meant to be. They are a perk for having an AP and can be pulled at anytime. Only AP if you plan on using it for the parks. If you will be going to the parks enough days throught the year, then yes .... go for it :thumbsup2 ..if not, do your hopper with no expiration dates.. as you see, you still have some days from 2005 ;)
