To Annual Pass or Not to Annual Pass...

That is the question. Here are my facts. I was on a 2 week business trip to Tampa this past June and being that close to WDW, couldn't pass up a weekend trip. By coincedence a good friend was in the middle of her annual trip :cheer2: and she graciously let me stay with her at All Star Sports (tried to abbreviate that but it looked BAD :rotfl: ) I purchased a 10 day hopper non expiring with 5 pluses, knowing I would be going back someday. Our 2 1/2 days together worked so well I am going with her on her May trip this coming year. She stays for 10 days and I used 3 days of my 10 day ticket. My dilemma is do I just add 3 more days to what I have already, or do I use the unused value of my ticket toward an annual pass. The money works out to be about the same, but I'm not sure I will be going back within a year. But who knows, having an annual pass would certainly make it much easier for me to go in 2007. I would appreciate opinions. :wizard:

Thanks,
Kim

I did not know you could apply your money already invested in a multi-day into an Annual Pass. That's what I would do!!!!

I would bet good money that if you get an AP, you will go back before that pass expires. The urge to use the pass is too hard to ignore!!! Do you want a 2007 vacation at Disney? Of course you do!!!!

The other great thing about an AP is you don't worry about "using up" the pass while you are on vacation. The turnstile is your friend, and you feel good about taking advantage of using your AP, not bad about using up another day on the multi-day. I love that AP harmless turnstile click. Woohoo!!!

Plus, if you have an AP, you can buy a DDE card, which saves you 20% off all table service meals...including alcohol. If you like to eat out, the card is a great deal. I think it is around $50, and we figure we'll save that in less than two days.

::MickeyMo We've kicked ourselves in the butt so many years for not buying them when we should've that we finally did this past May. And boy has it been worth it! We bought the DDE card as well. We've already saved about $600. We always wound up taking unexpected trips within the one year period. Now we don't have to worry about tickets anymore and what to buy. ::MinnieMo

Buy the AP by all means. we are huge fans of it. :cheer2: Not only do you get discounts on room, several popular dining options and World of Disney purchases, but you usually get other discounts on say, special tours or the Disney Dining Experience card. We didn't get one our first trip and that was a mistake :guilty: You'll save alot even if you don't go multiple times in a year. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

The AP gets my vote. They are such a wonderful thing to have.
