Me and the DW went to WDW on our honeymoon, staying at the beach club. We got in somewhat later than planned and all the restaraunts were closing early(sunday night). We looked into the yacht club galley. We saw it was closing, and were about to walk away when the maitre'd saw us and started talking to us. Upon finding out it was our honeymoon, she sat us down, ordered us a complimentary glass of champagne, let us order anything We wanted to and served us until We were finished. They basically kept the restaraunt open just for us. This was My intro to Disney magic and is one of My favorite memories of all time(I just love to tell this story )
My first trip was at age 5 in 1977 and while I don't remember my first meal. I do remember a few from my 3 trips as a kid (77, 82, 86). Those include the Luau, HDD, Alfredos, and Main St Bake Shop.
My first meal as an adult was on my honeymoon in 1995. We had arrived at the Poly and went straight to MK, just to get caught in a downpour while in line for our second ride. We returned to the Poly to change and while there we stopped in at the Coral Isle Cafe for lunch. I remember getting some sort of chicken tenders with a really different and yummy dipping sauce. Little did we know then we would be making regular trips back to WDW and this restaurant (well, actually Kona Cafe) would become one of our favorites.
