To all those who love BCV...

Just another "I agree" with everyone post! :cool1: :cool1:

Have stayed at VWL and BCV and know what you mean about both. For me VWL, feels like "home" but I really enjoy being so close to Epcot and all the other great attractions in the area, also.

this is for Max: Yo ho, Yo ho, a pirate's life for me!! pirate:

(I wish I knew how to make it sing!!)

Luigi's Girl, sorry I do not remember the exact room number. I had asked for a high up floor, non-smoking. We got 4th floor. We were on the end of the building closest to the BC. It was a long walk from the elevator, and there was a road between us and EPCOT, but the view was worth it.

I love the fact that if it is pouring down rain, I do not have to get wet to get something to eat. We also own at BWV and you cannot get something to eat with out getting wet in a down pour. We all know how the Fl weather can be!

This is true, I stayed at BWV and you had to go out of the hotel to get any food. Strange, how they didn't plan for at least one quick bite "Roaring Forks" type snack bar inside. When we were at the pool, they had some small stuff at the pool bar but they needed more of a snack place for lunch by the pool. Even BC has Beaches and Cream. I guess every resort can't be perfect like WL!

Ditto to all the above and I have one more to add!

True, at the time of the Hurricanes i wondered what the poor people did that were at the BW. There is still the small gap from BCV to BC but at least it's covered and managable. No clue at BWV, I guess order alot of room service.

I don't think anyone has mentioned a huge plus at least to us (we have small children) its the only DVC Resort with a character Meal (Cape May ~ Goofy's breakfast) and Buffet (Cape May Clambake). Very convenient . :flower:

All of the above, plus:

Walking back from Epcot in the evening, just as you get to the beginning of the Beach Club, stop and take in the view. The beach, the lake, all the lights across the way at the Boardwalk. It's beautiful!

Walking into BCV, don't know why, but it smells different from all the other resorts. It smells really good.

Isn't that view beautiful? If possible, I'd suggest you take off your shoes, walk out in the sand, sit in one of those big metal swings and just watch the view, the Friendship boats, as you swing. Wonderful!

oh man - Im tearing up here
We were originally booked 3nights at Riverside followed by 6nights at VWL

I changed it last wk at our 7mo window. Now we'll be at WL for 3nights followed by BCV 6nights. I didnt want to give up the Wilderness Lodge completely but being as this vacation is during the summer I wanted to try the Beach Club

thanks for helping me dream

pirate:Hi MAX! pirate:

My dd loves to watch the butterflies hatch in the butterfly house that's outside the backdoor of BC. She checks everyday to see how they're doing :teeth:

Sitting on the porch swing style seat on the beach at night.

The nice interior spaces for those times when it rains.

The ample gift shop.

Sandcastle club.

Close elevators, close parking, plenty of bathrooms, oak doors, and the aligator.

Good point. They could have at least provided overhead coverage along the walks so you could stasy dry. But once you round that corner on both sides of the hotel walkway, your gonna get wet.
