are they separating out kids vs adult credits yet. I know there was some speculation that it would happen and I guess I never did hear either way.

Now, for the record, I am not asking this because I plan to cheat Disney. I'm really just curious. I figured they would have done it before free dinging this year if they do it at all.

My other question is, I assume all the credits are pooled onto all the guest room cards? When we go, we will have two teenagers with us (not our kids) that I'm somewhat worried about. We plan to give them some freedom but don't want them using up everyone's snack credits on things like pop whenever they get thirsty. We are going to have a long chat with them about this (one of them is in our room) before we start but I've learned the hard way that kids don't always do what you tell them to do.

Not that we can't afford to pay for our own snacks, etc, if they do do it, but the principle behind it would make me very mad if they do! They will each be carrying their own room card. More importantly, we will be having a discussion about room charging as well!

Information system changes have not yet taken place, but the rules of the Dining Plan have been made explicit with regard to the use of child meal entitlements -- that they cannot be used for adult meals.

I'm not sure what the question is in the second part of your message. You can prevent the teens from using their room keys for any purchases, if you wish. Other than that, you'll need to police their usage yourself. No other arrangements are available.

The credits are not seperated making it a little difficult to distinguish. I am almost certain we ended up with one extra adult meal at a counter service because we weren't always together and didn't always order 'two adult and one child' as sometimes we weren't all hungry at the same time. I'm not sure what can be done other than Disney making a distinct total on the receipts.

We went in August and only the total credits shows up on your receipt.

3rd week in August the credits were pooled. I had a 4 YO with me, and it was made pretty clear that we needed to use a credit for her. Nothing rude or intrusive, just gentle reminding. This was fine becasue we were planning on using her credit for her.

I think the CM's were trying to be helpful in order to avoid guests being surprised or embarrassed later.

I am well aware of the rules. I'm actually a supporter of them separating credits because I feel that if an offer is abused for so long, it will just be taken away.

I guess my question wasn't clear about the teens...If we all are in one room, does each room key have all the available credits on it? That's pretty much been answered though. I don't want to have to police them and I won't. If they do it, they do it. It would just be so much nicer if everyone's credits were on their own card in this scenario. I'm sure in other instances it would be a huge pain in the butt though! I'm not going to complain about anything thats free though! As for room charging, how does that work? Is one room key designated as the charge key? We stayed off site the times we have gone so this will be pretty new to me. Thanks

Well when we went it only showed totals on the receipt but on there screen it shows what type of credits you have. One of the cm's told me i had 3 adults and 1 child but not showing on the receipt.

When you check in, you have the option of providing a credit card to secure your room charges. The CM at the desk should ask you which of the room keys should have charge privileges and which should not. If he/she does not ask, be sure to specify. I have done it this way on my last 3 trips and never had a problem.

The credits show up in total on your receipt, but the cards show the number of adults and children in your room. One CM told me I could only order one adult meal because that's how many adults were listed on my room key (we had 2 rooms and the other credits were on the other card). So, I think it still varies by location.
