To all of those in harm's way of Isabel

We are praying for all your safety here in Colorado. I hope it moves through quickly with a minimum of damage. More than that, I pray for everyone's safety...houses and cars can be replaced...people can't.

God Bless,

Lisa

The winds are still whiping it up here in New Bern, NC. IF it had hit another 20 miles west we would have had it much worse. We are very lucky. Aside from a big tree down across the driveway, we have no damage. We moved the cars & boat out to the street so they are fine. We lost power 7:30-9 and then again 2-9. The kids got pretty testy but tomorrow is another day. DS learned that eliectricity is not something to take for granted today. Thanks for all the pixie dust. I hope that those further north who are still experiencing this storm stay safe. I am hoping to get rested up. The winds started here around 2 am so we are very tired and have alot of work to do tomorrow.

Well all the Pixie Dust worked!! We made it through the night Ok. Trees damaged and some flooding but everyone is Ok. Thanks again for all the prayers, it sure must have helped.

We're waking up to quite a nice morning, a little breezy, no rain, and just a few clouds. A lot better than was predicted for today!!!

I saw quite a few tree branches laying in our neighbor's yard, other than that we fared quite well here in South Jersey.

My normal 5 minute drive to work to 15 minutes this morning, twice I was detoured, then about halfway to work, I came across a flooded out road. It is where the Woodbury Creek meets the Delaware River, what a mess!!! Had to turn around and take the long way to work, but I made it. Saw a lot of tree branches in the street, and a large oak tree laying across one road(that was one of my detours). My DW just called, she had a medical test that needed to be done this morning, about 20 minutes from home. It took her about 35 minutes to get there, but she arrived safe and sound. Still have quite a few clouds around, and still very breezy. Other than that all is fine!!!

All's well here along the northern part of the Jersey Shore, too, although it's very windy--still around 30 MPH. It's a beautiful, sunny day, but on my way to work I could see huge waves on the ocean. There are lots of trees and branches down on the roadways, but I take a train and then walk to work (it's actually much faster than driving), and I had no problems at all. In fact, I had a "tail wind" for my walk, which usually takes me about 10 minutes, and made it in less than 8!

What is left of Isabel is here in central PA as we speak. Initially we were forecasted to receive anywhere from 1-9 inches of rain. We haven't had much rain at all, but the wind is very strong. Schools are cancelled and some trees are down. We still have power.

I think we have a way to go yet before we see blue skies today!

I'm so glad to hear that things are ok further up the coast from us. My dh said it wasn't too bad on the NC coast, either. They are shipping them to work in Pamlico Co. today to help out. Praise God for answering prayers!!! ;)
