Does anyone know if we get TNT in our resort rooms? Please, please PLEASE tell me we do!! I've waited months to see this NASCAR race, and now I'm worried I'll miss it b/c I"m at Disney!!!

Or is there any chance ESPN Club will have it on? I know it's not an ESPN channel (TNT), but it can't hurt to ask! (Or should I say hope!!!!)

I don't remember TNT.

Go to allears, there is a complete station listing available. Looks like no TNT in WDW resorts, only Swan/Dolphin.

Thanks for the info on Allears. I'll check it out.

Hey, anyone at Swan/Dolphin have a room they want to lend out for a couple hours Saturday night? (I know, that didn't sound good, but it was completely innocent!)

If you can't get the channel in your room, you might want to try eating at the Nascar Cafe near Universal Studios. I'm pretty sure they will air the race.

Seems likely ESPN will have it on at least some of their TVs, you could try All-Star Sports as well. Ton of places just off property, as well (Alehouse, Buffalo Wild Wings...).

ok, just wondering... are you SERIOUSLY worrying about missing a NASCAR race when you're going to be visiting Disney??? maybe it's just me, but when i'm at the most magical place in the world, it's not every day that you get to be in a place like that, i don't think i'd be worrying about missing a car race..

Speed replays most cup races in the afternoon late in the week. At least the race is only one day. I will be at WDW (10/14 - 10/22) the same week the baseball league championship are going on and the world series starts 10/21. Let's go METS

I would think the ESPN Club would play it. But if it's on TNT, then they might not, unless they broadcast on more than one station. :confused3 When we ate at the Rainforest Cafe, at the bar, they were playing an Eagles pre-season game( :yay: ), so maybe at the bar portion of a restaurant, they'd play it. Good luck!!

We will be staying off site that Saturday night as it is the day we arrive :cool1: . We always drive down from Georgia:car: and then check into our resort the next day. I'm not sure if the rooms on site have TNT. I don't believe they do. We'll be thinking about you though from our room @ Country Inns & Suites:happytv:. Hope you find some where to watch.

I agree with you totally and as a side note it is only NASCRAP crash and bang schoolyard racing. I would miss that anytime even if it was to go to the washroom. You want great racing watch teh Lemans races the rolex 24 hours of sebring and Daytona you know races where they do more than turn left for a few hours they need to try and make these guys run road courses then it may be a little exciting. Oh and to answer the question that started this thread no there is o TNT in any Disney resort room.

hi

i like watching nascar too - anyone can watch whatever type of racing they want - no need to baash it - seems like nascar is pretty popular these days, so i guess there are a few more people who like it too,,,,

last year my whole group went back to the hotel to watch eagles preseason football - i stayed in epcot by myself, and it was actually really fun!!!!

Hey - no series bashing here. Just because someone likes NASCAR and some don't don't mean one is better. De gustibus non est disputandam.

And the Bristol night race is one that is not to be missed, Disney or no Disney. If DW and I were there, we would make a date to catch teh race.

And I would do the same for the Indy 500 as well (although I would make an all day affair out of that one - I'd want to watch the 600 that night too :rotfl:

And if I was down there for Speedweeks, I would at least try to get over and catch some of teh Rolex - that stuff is cool too.

But hey - at least when NASCAR runs at Indy, they have a full field, not like F1 last year when only 6 ran :rotfl2: (I'm teasing - that was an unfortunate fiasco - I'd love to be able to attend an F1 race someday)

I have been to the F1 races in Montreal it is a spectacle not to be missed.

I'm not trying to bash anyone for what they like or don't like or anything, however, someone did tell me something funny before that kinda made me laugh... NASCAR = Non-athletic sport centered around rednecks.. :rotfl2:

Yep that sounds about right LOL I just can't get excited about a racing series beit NASCRAP IRL or CART that has to race in circles it is just to damn boring. Atleast with CART thjey run almost all their races on road coursed and street courses.
