DH and I are taking our family for our first ever vacation and to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

We'll have the kids (6, 4, 3) with us most of the trip, but I want to go to a nice dinner for the 2 of us on our anniversary.

We'll be on the dining plan so cost of the restaurant isn't such a big deal.

DH is a steak and potatos kind of guy
I tend to be a little more adventurous, but I don't like seafood.

I've read so many reviews and my head is swimming with information and I can't decide.

I need to make ADRs next week and would love any recomendations anyone has.

My first choice would be California Grill -I think both of you would be happy with the menu and the atmosphere is perfect for an anniversary. The bar is nice as well for a couple drinks -great wine list. Another option would be Artist Point -never had a bad meal there and the service has always been excellent ...outstanding Northwest wine list.

First, ou may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide. :disrocks:

If you're looking for a nice romantic dinner for the two of you, I'd stay away from CG. Although the view of the fireworks from there is nice, otherwise the place really isn't romantic.

The suggestion for Artist Point is a good one, especially if you eat later in the evening. Very nice room and a menu that offers unusual (but not too unusual) items that you won't find elsewhere. AP features a great wine list from the Pacific Northwest that will pair well with whatever you decide on.

Citrico's at the GF is also a more elegant place to dine, with a very nice menu. We loved the Arrancini appetizer.

Browsing the restaurant menus here on the DIS may help.

I agree that while CG is nice and has a great menu, the atmosphere isn't what I (personally)would want for an intimate, romatic meal. It is incredibly loud in there. I knew it would loud, and it still blew me away when I first visited. I've heard that there is wine room that is quieter, but it seems to be hit or miss as to if you can get it or not.

Artist's Point ad Citricos are great suggestions. We loved the atmosphere at Jiko, when we dined there.

Happy anniversary and enjoy your trip!

I've heard Le Cellier in Canada has great steak and I've also heard good things about the restaurant in the Yacht Club. Have fun!

Many of the signatures are noisy, family dining places. The quietest of them are Citricos, Jiko, Artist Point.

Yachtsman can be hit or miss; it might work for you.

We always go to Citrico's. We love it there. Very fancy, quite, and yummy food. We are going again in Sept. for our 37th.

Enjoy

Will you be using one of the child care centers? You may want to factor location/proximity of child care to the restaurant. Which resort are you staying at?

There are a bunch of good choices, but your particular situation may choose the restaurant for you.

We really liked California Grill for our anniversary dinner. We were seated next to the window facing MK and had a great view of the sunset. They also gave us some champagne for the occasion and after a great meal we went out to the observation to watch Wishes.

It's probably not as intimate as say Jiko, but there weren't any children in our area so we still had a nice, quiet dinner.

I think we may end up having a sitter come to our room. We're staying at CR so there's no center there. With 3, and them being so little, it's less expensive, and they can go to bed at a normal time.

IU would go with either Cali grill or Yatchman. My 4yo triplets really liked both restaurants and we liked the food. For our anniversary we went to the Yatchman. The food was excellent.
