TIW discount on refillable mug?

Has anyone ever purchased a refillable mug at any of the value resorts w/ their TIW card? I'd like to know if you were able to get it w/ the 20% discount. Thanks!

TiW covers table service meals, and very few counter service locations (e.g., Artist' Palette at SSR). I can't imagine you could use it to get a discount for purchasing the refillable mug.

I'm not sure. It would make sense that you can get the 20% off since you can use the TIW card at the Value Resort food courts. But they may exclude the mugs.

But it doesn't say the mugs are excluded.

It does say:

20% off of all food and beverage purchases at the participating Disney restaurants

So it might or might not cover the mug, depends on whether it's considered a drink item or a souvenir.

Thanks for the responses. We always use our TIW for 20% off of breakfast when we stay at the value resorts, but I usually don't get a mug. However, DMom loves getting her mug every trip. I don't mind paying the extra few $$, but a TIW discount is always welcomed.

Just wanted to update those that were kind to respond. We were able to use our 20% TIW discount for refillable mugs at the POP food court. I thought we would be able to, but I wasn't fully sure. Our extra few saved dollars went towards our "Drinking Around the World" fund for Epcot. Thanks again for your input.

I was NOT able to use the TiW for the mug two weeks ago at ASMovies. I WAS able to use it at ASMusic in May and August.

You are not supposed to be able to get the discount on the mug but some cast members might ring it up anyway. Officially, it's no discount on anything but food or beverage items.

We were did not get the discount on the cup at POP, POR and POFQ. Each time the food and cup were rung up seperately. You should not expect a discount because it is not food.

We just got back from the Pop with a grand gathering. They gave us 20% off 10 refillable mugs (and we bought the mugs on three different occasions so, 3 different cast members gave us the discount). I would definitely try and get the discount because I asked them if they were offering the 20% off annual pass discount on the mugs and the cast member said "No, but we accept the TIW card for the mugs." And we continued to get the discount all week as more people showed up, so I would definitely give it a shot!

I'm not sure. It would make sense that you can get the 20% off since you can use the TIW card at the Value Resort food courts. But they may exclude the mugs.

Actually, you CAN use the card at value resort food courts. You can't use the card at a food court if a TS restaurant is also there, hence you CAN use it at POFQ at the food court but CAN'T use it at POR because Boatwrights is there!

It is very confusing because it isn't always consistant at the registers. Discount not valid on the cup but some do get it. Food court discounts where no table service is located but discount given at POR because of POFQ.

If you get the discount on the cup, smile, if not , smile, you paid what you should have.

I know I personally didn't get discount on any of my mugs i've bought and used TIW discount. I got it on food ( which is correct for pop fc) but not mug.
