I am debating on purchasing the TIW card. I can't seem to find how much it is for DVC Annual pass holders. I remember the price going up since I last purchased it a few years ago. We are doing the dining plan on our next trip and I am trying to figure out if its worth purchasing this also to cover all the extras like drinks and a few OOP meals.

Yes, $75 for AP holders (DVC members don't get a discount). $100 for FL residents.

The breakeven point for AP holders is $375 in eligible food/drink purchases. After that, you are saving.

And we have had NO trouble getting to that number even with just two of us on the bill. Since the TIW card is good for 13 months, we get multiple trips on it. We even use it when we go out to eat with others and put their bill on ours so we all get the discount. TIW is one perk I really like and use. In fact, that and the AP discount are about the only perks we use.

Don't forget that it also provides for free valet parking at resorts where you dine using your card, so if you normally valet park, that $12 savings each time contributes to making up the $75 TIW purchase price.

We used it for two trips: October 2009 (just us two) and February 2010 (family of eight). We broke-even after the first trip, so all the savings during the second trip was gravy.

Same here. We LOVE our TIW card!

I am considering this as well. But one thing I cant seem to find the answer for is whether the TiW card is accepted at the drink kiosks in EPCOT? This would help make up our decisions since I would like to drink my way around the world while there with DBF. I have never done that before! :yay:

The walk-up kiosks do not usually accept the TiW. The full service bars, like Rose and Crown do.

good enough for me! I want to try one of those guiness drinks that has the 1/2 shot of Jameson and 1/2 shot of something else in it....I cant remember now. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Its supposed to taste like chocolate milk!

Thanks for the info. I am still debating on what to do, the DDP or TIW. There is just 2 of us.

We have done both the dinng plan and TIW and find we do better with TIW. First of all we do not need all the food you get on dining plan and so we end up wasting. Many times hubby and I will share an app. and an entree.

When you look at the literature for the DP it tells you you can save up to 20% on dining and with TIW you save that every time plus sve on wine and alcohol which dinng plan does NOT cover.

We LOVE IT! Used for first time last weekend and almost saved purchase price on ur three day trip. Plus we have three more trips planned in next six months so it will save us a TON!

New DVC member .. so pardon the silly question. What is the TIW card? Where do you buy it? What does it include?

Unless you're going to buy more than $375 worth of off-dining-plan items at participating restaurants in the next year, I wouldn't bother with the TIW in your situation.

Does the tequilla bar accept it??

No, it doesn't. It's an exception among the full-service bars. Another is the bar at Yak & Yeti in AK (the restaurant there won't accept it either).

TIW is only available for annual passholders and Florida residents, not to DVC members in general (unless they are also annual passholders or Florida residents). You can purchase a membership at any Guest Services in the parks or Downtown Disney. You can't buy them at resorts.

Unless it's a blackout day (usually a major holiday) then you can use the membership to receive 20% off your full bill, including alcohol, at any participating restaurant or lounge. Most TS restaurants at WDW participate. Only a few CS do. There's also an automatic tip of 18% added at all TS and lounges for all TIW discounted purchases.

Tables in Wonderland dinging card. It is for annual pass holders and you 20% off of your food. Well worth it and I find it better than DDP

I have ordered an AP for our 12 year old DS (DH and I still have 9 days on a 10 day no exp. pass) and would like to use TIW. I see something that you have to be 18 to get it?? Any ideas how to make this work?

We are a family of 7 and usually have a friend/fiancee/spouse of the kids along, so party of 8. We always end up having the mandatory "party of 6 or more will incur automatic 18% gratuity" anyway. When it is just the two of us on a trip, my DH usually tips 18-20% for good service anyway, so the TIW saves us 2% on our meals!
