TIW and DDP

There will be 6 Adults and 3 Children in my party. We are all on the dining plan. However, us adults do enjoy a good beverage with our dinner. Are we able to get the alcohol on a second check and use the TWI card for the discount? Is it even worth getting?

It is our plan for our upcoming trip. I have asked this question and got feedback that this plan made sense. Between appetizers and adult beverages, I think we will save money.

Yes you can. We've done it twice in the past and got a good value out of the TiW card.

Don't forget that the TiW will give you some extra perks like discounts at some places that don't accept the DDP, and free valet parking at resorts when you are dining on property.

If you spend $375 on alcohol and misc. food annually(assuming you are AP Holders and not Florida Residents), you will get your money worth.

I think $375 is pretty feasible, after looking at the cost of alcohol on allears.net. 4 of us are beer drinkers ($5.25 a bottle), my grandmom loves wine ($8.00 a glass), and my younger sister loves the fruity drinks ($9.25 a glass). That's an average of $7.50 a drink. So, that would be 50 beverages in $375. That's about 8 drinks for each of the 6 adults during our week long stay. I'm sure the kids will want pirate punch too. So, I guess it looks like it would be a good deal.
