I am looking to purchase a resale contract soon and a broker asked me which title company we prefer. We’ve only previously purchased directly through Disney years ago so I’m not familiar with companies. Are they all pretty much the same?

All of the above are good options. My only advice is to avoid Magic Vacation Title. They are very over priced and have terrible service levels.

We are using Jeffrey Sweet for our FL contract. They didn't allow credit cards which is a bummer but the fees seemed to be lower than others, they have done their part quickly and they respond when I send emails quickly. Currently awaiting the buyers to sign their closing docs.

I'll just update this thread to add, I am now working with TRCS and it's been a week since passing ROFR and I still have no closing documents or communication from them. Jeffrey Sweet got me my docs next day.

Our first resale was with www.masontitle.com just when Cammy had left. Marcelo was our processor and very good.

Second resale contract used magicvacationtitle.com and was terrible service (took 12 days after passing ROFR to get our docs and only got them after I said that was enough waiting and we were switching to Cammy that day). Highest prices and lowest service. That's quite a marketing approach. If they weren't tethered to DVCRM I don't think they would be in business.

Now using Cammy at dvcclosings.com on resale #3. Just a few days into the process, but so far so good.

Also had great experiences with Cammy at her new company and at Mason Title, post Marcelo and Cammy’s departures.

Wow. So many different companies doing this. We've used LT Transfers twice now. I would highly recommend!

We closed this week - Cammy at DVC T&E. We were very pleased with the transaction - smooth and prompt. We passed ROFR on 6/19/24, heard from Cammy 6/20/24, received documents 6/21/24, and closed on 6/26/24 (deed recorded same day). It was the fastest resale closing we have ever experienced although the sellers were really on top of their part.

Marcelo jumped ship to rejoin Cammy now fyi :)

I do use TRCS for Aulani and low costs when there are no expiring points as they do tend to be slower, but they get the job done for such a low fee, I wind up being happy. For great efficiency and $7500 on the CC, DVC Title & Escrow all the way. Before they started up, used Mason for awhile (Cammy/Marcelo, but they are now DVC T&E). First AM to me is kind of rigid, slow, high price. I would not pick them anymore if given choices. I've never used Jeffrey Sweet or Magic (did buy a contract from the group sponsor tho, but insisted on using DVC T&E).
