"Tis the season...."

Thats right its that time of the year again......COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!!!! More importantly LSU football season.

There is only two seasons in Baton Rouge. Since it is always hot here....its summer and Football seasons. You know its football season by the migrating of the RVs. starting on Fridays hundreds or Rvs migrate to LSU's Tiger Stadium. The smell of burning charcoal fills the air. Sounds of the Golden Band from Tigerland are heard along side cajun zydeco from folks' stereo systems. Food, beer, and more food and more beer and football......it can't be beat.

My husband woke up this morning singing "Football, football, football, football" Being Ohio State alumns & fans it is BIG around here too! What am I saying, it is HUGE! We joke and say we don't need a pro football team here... we have the Buckeyes I hope you enjoy your day of college footbal!!!

I love football season! I can't wait until it's "officially" started. But I really miss the weather that goes with it! I miss the high school football games snuggled in jeans and sweatshirts. Now I'll be sweltering here in FL in shorts and a t-shirt as DS starts in flag football next month. Go Gators! (Not the college, DS's grade school...LOL!)

Football season is our favorite season as well. There are three seasons in Alabama...recruiting, spring practice and fall games.

Des...we made out to tailgate around 12:30ish...didn't BBQ though because of the rain, just picked up chicken instead. So Colin was able to tailgate for a little while. We went to the game, but left soon after the storm hit because we were SO cold! We didn't have ponchos or anything. The wetness didn't bother us, it was just the rain was so cold! Plus, ULM was not a game worthy of sitting through in the rain and then possibly getting sick afterwards. Now, maybe if I had had a bit more to drink before the game I would have stayed.

I'm glad little Colin was able to a make an apperance! & Dont blame ya about the rain either. We had ponchos so we stuck it out. Of course, after putting mine on, I realized that I was wearing Devyns! Ugh! Oh well at least the majority of me was covered!

Can't wait til the next home game!
