Tired of Disney's Games!

First, I have to say that I love Disney World...My kids love Disney World...we have considered it our 2nd home! But lately, I have not been happy. The summer discount code came out on Wednesday (for public today) I called right away and was told that there were no preferred rooms...in fact no rooms (except for the royal rooms) available for that discount at Port Orleans Riverside. Really, no rooms available for discount?? I don't believe it. I understand that they limit the rooms to be discounted...but in years past I have NEVER had any trouble any time we've gone to call and get a discounted room...even it was a week or two or three after the discount was announced!

Just frustrated!

Anyone else experiencing the same thing??

I would tell you to just keep trying. I've been unable to get a certain discount one day and called back the next and found availability. maybe monitor it online until you see what you want over your dates. good luck

Thanks! Yes, I will certainly keep trying! So far I have not seen the summer discount come up online yet. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the system or if it is because the spring discount can be booked through March 31st, then the summer one will show up. Oh well...either way, I will keep checking back!

I actually can see that they wouldn't have any Preferred rooms available. They have a limited amount of them as it is, and I would bet people book them quick.
Also, if your dates are popular and crowded already.
I booked on Saturday (the 2nd day Visa users could) and for my first week in August what they had available was Pool/ River/ or RR.

I am flexible in what room. Actually wanted garden view but two of my dates fall in the spring discount and all that was available was preferred location, so that is what I took. I was willing to take any room (except royal because it doesn't fit our family)for the summer discount...even if we had to change rooms, but still none left (except royal). I will keep trying and hoping.

Try Orbitz and use promo code discovery. I couldn't get POR for August when i called but Orbitz had it. DO NOT book with the kids, call and add them later or you will be charged the extra adult fee.

Yes, I got POR for June 20-23 for a total of $466 by using DISCOVER at Orbitz. It stacked with the summer promo.

Try again, I just switched that pool room I got to Preferred because I was playing around online with my dates (again) and it said pool was gone but that they had preferred so I switched very easily since at least now I know what area we'll be in.
I get wanting a garden. I did too, the cost is certainly better. I didn't see any of those, or standard available.

I also say keep trying. Yesterday when they released the promo I got online and there were no lagoon views at the Polynesian available with the summer code but this morning there is.
