Hi... I'm a lurker. I think I've posted here once before, but thats it. I love reading this board, just about every day. It makes me want to go camping... at the Fort;)

We stayed at FW in 08 in the Cabins. Can't wait to get back & do some "real" camping there. Anywho...thats besides the point.

Last night on my way home I say a Jeep Wrangler with a Fort Wilderness tire cover. The musket mickey one. I almost stalked them to find out where they got it. I've seen pictures of them on here before but never in person!

So anyway...if you are a disser & if you drive a dark colored Jeep Wrangler with a Fort Wilderness tire cover & you were getting on I24 last night around 9ish ... "hi" and I'm sorry for tailgating:worship: I just wanted to see the tire cover:worship:;)

Not the Jeep driver, but I got my musket mickey tire cover off ebay - brand new - I think it was around $50.

i got one last year at the meadows trading post but they are always sold out and not sure if they still make them or not heard someone say they were discontinueing them i thought so you can check disney trading post at the fort or ebay

They don't make them anymore. If you want one, go to e-Bay. That's where I got mine. Here is a pic I found on this site a while back that shows 4 different versions from 1971 thru 2008.

The ones that were left went the CM store. A friend's son works at Dis and she bought 2 there earlier this year.

I have 2 of the bottom right on (White) and I am going to be getting rid of one on eBay soon, it does not fit my tire, thought it did, that is why I got 2, one to use and one for back up. I am trying to figure out a way to get it to work, but it is tight. My 5er must have larger tires then some others, I do not know.... But, I do love mine!!

Mine is the one in the upper far left hand corner- probably the newest one they came out with and I did get it at the fort about two years ago I think. I just went on a Disney cruise over Thanksgiving and got to dine with a CM who is the manager at the Poly merchandise shop. I asked her about the rumor of them doing away with resort specific logo merchandise and especially my tire cover (because even though I don't keep it on my 5th wheel, I know it won't last forever). Anyway, she said that Disney has been getting the biggest complaints from us Fort people about their not being enough logo merchandise. She also said she doesn't think they are really doing away with the Fort Logo stuff, and that they will start making this stuff again for certain/select resorts. But it doesn't hurt to keep complaining. At sounds as though someone is listening to us if she knew about it. :)

Last year while at the Fort they were selling an all black version with musket mickey on it. It was the wrong size. My mother was able to buy four at the outlet store near Tampa. However, they were the wrong size for my 32 foot RV spare tire. Lucky for me my mother makes tire covers that she sells for boat trailers/RVs etc. She took the cover and sewed it on a larger cover that fits. I sold the rest of the too small covers by walking around The Fort when we got there and selling them to folks. I'll try to get a picture of the cover my mom made for me up here. I love the tire cover!

I just pop in and say I was scrolling quickly through the main page and saw the title of this thread. I was scrolling so quickly I thought it said "Troy McClure" Thank you Simpsons.
