Any tips on taking pictures of firework, etc? I will be purchasing a tripod so that tip is covered. I just got a Sony DSC H5. Also, if anyone can recommend good websites, magazines etc for tips on taking digital pictures (different scenarios, settings) for a newbie like myself would be greatly appreciated. I didn't get a chance to print out Kelly's stickies.

Thank you

My experience for the fireworks shows at Disney, Manual Priority: with ISO 200, Shutter 3-6 seconds, Aperture f/8 - f/10. Use remote shutter release if possible or at least the camera's self timer to assure yourself not to shake the camera as you relsease the shutter. And don't wait for what you think will be the right time for the perfect picture, take the picture and don't stop taking till the show is over. At one viewing of Wishes I took 55 pics. Not all came out good, but I did get 4 or 5 really good ones.

Kyle is right - just keep snapping away. Also, use a good tripod. I took a very lightweight tripod, extended the legs all of the way, and ended up getting some shake in the pics from the explosions. I should have brought a better tripod or found a place where I didn't have to fully extend the legs.
