Tips on getting cheap airfare out of Syracuse

I am looking for a friend for a trip at the end of August but the fares out of SYR to MCO are starting at $250. Does this sound about right for that trip?

Syracuse is one of the most expensive airports to fly out of. Unfortunately, the best tip is to drive to Albany or Buffalo for Southwest or Rochester for AirTran.

If your marrie dto flying out of SYR, then keep wathcing fares, you may catch a Delta sale. I use Kayak.com and sidestep to watch airfares.
