We just came back home from 8 nights at the Boardwalk and wanted to share a few things we learned. Overall it was a wonderful trip and we loved the Boardwalk as always. :cool1:

1. There is no DisneyJr channel on the hotel TV. Yes, crazy but true! Be sure to bring your own Doc McStuffins, Mickey's Club House and Sofia with you.

2. There is hardly if any Doc McStuffins, Club House and Sofia products for sale in the parks or Downtown Disney.

3. Don't get the pool view unless you want to take your child to the pool 24/7. We had a main pool view, which was so cool, but my 2 year old loves to swim and it caused a source of contentation every time she looked out the window. Also, it was very loud during the day when we were trying to get her to nap and games and music were being played.

4. Our pool view (room 2090) couldn't see fireworks. I'd take standard with fireworks over the pool view any day.

5. Take advantage of the community hall. We didn't go until the end of our trip, because she would be too young to do the items listed on the activity sheet, but there was so much more. They had tons of crayons and coloring books, big bins of toys, a sit and spin, other kids and lots of room to run around. It is a great place to hang out while waiting for the rest of your party to get ready and so much better than hanging out in the room playing the "stop climbing & don't touch that" game. :rotfl2: And for the adults there are other adults to talk to and big couches to sit on. I wish we went there days earlier.

Enjoy your time and hope its magical for you and your princess: and pirate:

Thanks for the tips! I'm also really surprised about there being no DisneyJr Channel-my grandkids love all the things there. In restrospect, I'm just curious, do you think there'd be a better resort for kids that age? Not getting a pool view is info I hadn't thought about but it makes perfect sense.

We love the Boardwalk especially when traveling with kids. The boat access is great, because you don't have to fold your stroller. Next we are considering Wilderness Lodge because they also have a boat. Enjoy the Boardwalk, I just wouldn't get the pool view again. But I would definitely want to try the Boardwalk view. :)

We never stayed at a MK resort with our kids when they were little for the same reason - or went within site of it until we were ready to spend the day there. There are days when I don't want to go near the MK, and if we could see it from the resort, we'd have conflict.

One thing I don't like about BWV with little kids is lack of zero entry. Once they outgrow the toddler pool, there are a few years were they really aren't tall enough for the deep pool.
