We are going next month and I will be 5 months pregnant. Anything I should keep in mind?

Just a few things. Bring water - lots of it. Staying hydrated will keep you from getting contractions. Listen to your body. If you feel tired, sit down, have a snack/meal, find a parade, etc. ;-) If you do the Safari at AK, sit in the front - there's a big difference between the front and back. Bring comfortable shoes. I guess that's all my tips. :-)

We are going in March and I will be 6 months along. I am walking on the treadmill for 30mins every day just to help me get used to walking alot. Also, stay hydrated and take breaks as your body needs it.

I went when I was about four-five months with my second one. I remember getting extremely hungry. I would feel like throwing up and passing out at the same time. Just remember, that you can't go on a normal vacation eating schedule. You have to eat like you do at home. A churro or some fries probably won't cover it when you start to feel that way. Try to take notice of where you can find protein and a place to sit down. Or bring something along to snack on that is filling for you.

Other than that, I didn't really notice much else. I probably got pretty tired, but I was still pretty mobile at that point and wasn't really showing that much. I don't remember it putting a damper on the day other than the eating!

Have fun!

If things get too rough Disney rents the electronic scooters at all the parks. I went last year when I was pregnant and was having blood pressure issues and rented one on our extra long days.

They will even keep it for you if you leave the park for dinner and come back.

If you are staying on property you can get a complimentary wheel chair for the length of your stay. I went when I was 7 months pregnant and after about 4 days I needed it!

I went at 16 and 21 weeks pregnant; I walked slow, wore my crocs, took lots of rests and drank lots of water. You can ride most rides without height restrictions; I did skip the safari and any rides that suggested expectant mothers skip. I did enjoy Soarin' a few times while my DH rode TT!

I went at 20 weeks pg (I'm now at 30 weeks):

Build in some rests into the middle of the day. Float in the pool, take a load off your feet. We stayed at the POP and I had DH bring me non-alcoholic fruity beverages from the "bar". Drink lots of water.

Some of the parks seem to have more seats than the others (I was really struggling to find places to sit in AK). It was a much more strenuous walk there than at the other parks. Personally, I was miserable there...but the rest of the parks, no problem!

MK and Epcot had plenty of benches and places to rest a minute. I enjoyed sitting and watching DH and DS on the rides if I could. There are plenty of rides that are more relaxing. Go on POTC or Haunted Mansion several times if that feels relaxing and that is what you want to do. Use FastPasses so you're not standing in line.

If you don't feel like walking the World Showcase take the water taxi thingy.

Keep YOUR agenda flexible - don't feel disappointed if you don't feel up to doing every single activity that you planned...be pleased that you accomplish as much as you do.

Check out the baby clothes in the stores.

HAVE FUN!!!

Um... speak to your doctor beforehand and don't go on rides that say "expectant mothers should not ride"? :cutie:

I agree with the water suggestion along with that know where all of you bathrooms are. I was 8 months when we went and I had to take a break in the middle of the day due to the fact it was hot and I was swelling like crazy and just pure tired. Go in the pool it redistributes everything my legs back everything felt better after. While DH was on rides I couldn't go on I took that time to drink some water grab a snack and sit in a cool place. People were great about giving up there seats on the bus but I always gave mine up for little munchkins. Disney puts caution on a lot of rides like the safari I had no problems with this ride but it is a choice you have to make. I cannot say enough about CROCS buy them love them wear them(w/socks). On really hot days I couldn't fit my feet into anything else.

Have a blast next time will be with your LO!
