I thought I would pass along a few tips for those of you that add pictures to PinPics.

1. Do not get too close to the pin. This can cause the pic to be blurry or out of focus. This is the one problem I can do nothing about. Please look at your pic before posting and if it is blurry or fuzzy try again. It is better to take a pic with some extra space around it and then crop it.

2. Take the pin out of the wrapper. Pics pic up ALOT of glare from the wrappers.

3. Pin the pin to a neutral, gray or tan, background. The black cards can cause the scanner/camera's exposure to be thrown off. I have found file folders work well.

4. If a pin has large areas of gold or silver metal it would be better to try and photgraph the pin. Scanners can cause these areas to appear black and make dark colored areas and dark colored lettering difficult to discern.

5. If you need ANY help with your pics, resizing, brightening, cropping etc. feel free to e-mail it to me at Dom13@PinPics.com.

Thanks for your help!

Thank you Dom. I always have trouble with the glare.
