He's not mine, a friends, but we're going to MVMCP on the 10th, and he will be 6 weeks old at the time. I told her I'd help her, and I know he can't do the bigger rides with height limit, but he will be in his stroller, and I'm hoping he just enjoys all the new sights and stuff, cause there will be lots for him to see. He will have a stroller there...and we'll definedly bundle him up. Anything I am missing? My ds is 10 and step daughter is 12, so I'm WAY out of the loop on the baby thing!!! Thanks!!

Be sure to take him to see Mickey during the party! He is always dressed up for the occasion!! Also Santa will be there for photos too.

Try to get a good spot for the parade so he can see it from his stroller.

You can bring him on some of the rides. Dumbo - of course! Also Peter Pan, Small World - bet he'd love that one!

Keep him warm and have fun!!

We took our DS8 when he was 7 weeks old, and as long as he was secured in the front carrier across my chest they let us take him on pretty much everything. Now keep in mind I don't do big rides or thrill rides, I'm talking about rides like POTC, HM, Buzz Lightyear, Small World, AK Safari, Living with the Land, etc. Use the Baby Care Centers, they are well-stocked & very clean & comfortable.

At six weeks old, he's probably not going to be interested in much besides feeling safe, full, and comfy against his mama. I have carried both of my babies through DW at various ages using ring slings and mei tai carriers, SO comfy and easy to slip baby in/out quickly, and even discreet nursing! I would encourage your friend to buy or borrow a good carrier (try to avoid brands like Snuggli and Bjorn as they put excess stress on baby's hips and mama's neck), it will come in very handy when he doesn't want to ride in the stroller. :goodvibes

It will be a life saver! Mei Tais are cloth carriers that can be worn in many different positions on the front, back, and side of the body. They are like the front carriers but more comfortable for Mom and baby. There are many places on-line that sell them or they can be handmade. My son is 2.5 and still rides in my mei tai on occasion!

Thanks for all the tips, I do think i'm more worried about him then his mom is...:confused3 but we'll have fun all the same. If there's any more tips out there, keep em comin!!! I do like the idea of the sling thing, not sure if the mom can afford it tho..but I'll definedly let her know!! Thanks again!!! :flower3:

I would suggest that she tape some cotton or soft ear plugs in his ears... Disney is loud for adults- it is probably loud enough to be harmful to a new born.

Ear protection is essential. I will never forget the infant in front of us at the Great Movie Ride who wailed miserably at the noise. Poor thing.

:) Get a great hand sanitizer and wash your hands frequently before handling the little guy. Just like a hospital, Disney is a mecca for germs.

Okay, this is tonight...I got cotton for his little ears, he didn't like my dogs barking last night, so that was a GREAT hint....I got lots of hand sanitizer too, but we didn't get the sling. Between the 2 of us, we'll just carry him. He's a cutie pie too!! I can't wait to get some pictures of him with his first disney character!! :) Anyways, now I gotta wait until I get off work at 2 to pick up my ds from school, run home, change clothes, THEN go out there....come on 2 o'clock!!!!!! Thanks again for all the tips, never woulda thought about the cotton in his ears!!
