Tips for Easter Week?

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the most from your vacation when visiting during peak times? We are going April 3-10th. Have never been during that time before, but want to get the most out of our trip. We plan to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour on sunday at MK. Also will have a PS that day at Crystal Palace. mon,tues&wed we will not be able to take advantage of EMH, due to DS's schedule with his High School Choir. We plan to take the KTTK tour on wed. 4/07. And Steam Engines on 4/10.
We aren't expecting to do all of the rides, or even all of our favorites, but want to do Philharmagic for sure (saw it in October and LOVED it) and we usually head straight to Fantasyland to get that done before it gets packed. It will be just DH and myself most of the time, DS will be with the school group. We decided NOT to chaperone, so we could have more fun at WDW. Plus, DS didn't want us to. Why wouldn't a 17 yo want his parents with him on his first trip with his friends? Beats me! But I'm sure we will have a great time anyway! LOL

Except for New Year's Eve at EPCOT (because all other parks were closed by 10am) I have only experienced large crowds during summer.

Lori, I think you have the right attitude!

You plan sounds like a good one. Try to do as much as you can, but don't fret if you don't get it all done.
Pick what you absolutely want to do and enjoy what else comes your way.

We have always gone at Easter time and have enjoyed each time!
Plan the PS's that you want, use EMH and Fast Pass, take breaks during the day, and enjoy the late hours of the parks!!

I can't believe that your DS doesn't want to be right by your side!?!? LOL Our 17 YO DD doesn't need us anymore either!!

Easter week is our usual M.O. due to school vacations, etc.

If you have some ideas of where you would like to do sit-down dinners...make reservations now with WDW-DINE. Reservations go fast during that week and we found just knowing that we had a place to sit down and eat was relaxing.

FastPass all the way...and when you're allowed to get another....get it!

Don't let the masses scare you away...do the "family" things opposite the time when people with small children will be there....MK later in the day and Epcot earlier in the day.
