Hi there,

We will be visiting Disneyland/California Adventures in April, kids are 5 & 7. It is their first time and it is a pretty big deal for us as we live in New Zealand!

For part of the time I will be taking the kids to the parks on my own while DH does some business stuff. Being around Easter I'm expecting HUGE crowds but I can't change that so has anyone got any tips to make my life easier touring with 2 kids and lots of people!

Many thanks

Hi! I go with my two children solo a lot and have since they were babies. They are ages 6 and 4 so close to yours. I wear a backpack for all of our stuff, so i can have both my hands free, one for each child. I also make a plan and set those expectations for my kids. We are going to ride a, B, and c then watch a parade. I try not to do the free play areas, like Toontown, Tom Sawyers Island, or the grizzzly course in DCA, because it is hard to keep track of two with all the children running around. I save those for when dad is with us, so we can each stick with a kid. I also use the handicap accessible stalls in the bathroom so we can all go together. Sometimes I take my double stroller and the kids ride in that. Heavy to push since they are getting older but great exercise for me! You know your kids best so stick with what is comfortable for you. Have a super fun visit!
