I was at Disneyland with 3 of my children this weekend. My DH stayed home with one of our boys, he did not want to miss his basketball play-offs. This was my first trip without my DH... who always take care of the luggage, car, etc.

When I arrived at the Disneyland Hotel, I was at a complete loss on who I should tip and how much to tip. I had valet park my car & help with the luggage. I also had the luggage brought up to our room.

Do you tip everyone who helps you with something? How much do you tip them? I ended up tipping everyone who helped me. I thought it was better to tip the wrong person... then to not tip at all.;)

Haha. I do a couple of bucks to the valet, a buck per bag if they take your baggage up to your room, and a couple of bucks a day left with a note in your room for housekeeping :)

One dollar per bag. I've never tipped housekeeping before (didn't know about it until I read these boards). I will do it on our next trip. My husband also tipped one of the CMs who assisted us w/ our Fantasmic seats on our trip because there was a little mix up. That's about it.

We pretty much tip everyone who helps us. We do $5 for a bus/shuttle driver (for our family of 4), $1 per bag for bellboy, a few dollars $3 to $5 a day for housekeeping although we usually round it up to $20- if we stay a week. We leave $5 for housekeeping if we're only there one night (since they totally have to re-do the room).

Thank you guys....

After reading your post...I think I did okay after all. I tipped the valet $5 each time & I tipped the bellboys about $1 per bag. ;)

Unfortunately, I forgot to tip housekeeping.:sad2:
