Tipping questions

We have the free DDP....and are doing mostly buffet style dinners.

How do we find out how much our dinner 'cost'?

Do you tip 15-20% at buffets too (we never really eat at any) since they do not take your order or serve you?

I was just thinking that a buffet for 5 plus one infant could be about $200 so is that a $40 tip? I need to start rethinking how much spending $$ we will need! Ahh! So many last minute details.

Please remember when you read the thread that discussion of personal tipping habits (i.e. how much would you tip at a buffet) is not permitted. It's up to everyone to determine for themselves how they want to tip.

You may want to know that since you are a party of six (the baby counts) that you will be subject to an automatic 18% tip at all table service, including buffets. The FAQ in the tipping thread has the details.
