If you're at a hotel where the (usually) buffet breakfast is included in the price, what do you do about tipping? How much, and do you give it straight to your server, leave it on the table, or what!
Interesting question, I have always wondered what to do myself. We have normally just left a couple of dollars for the 2 of us on the table. The server is usually only serving you a drink so I personaly think that is enough.
If others think otherwise then I am quite willing to re-educate myself!
I worked in the states a "few" years ago waitressing. When we did buffets the usual tip that was left was 2-3 dollars a table, not always though. Some restaurants pay more per hour to their wait staff when it is buffet as it is recognised that tipping is not usually forthcoming from people when it is a buffet.
