Ok I get the reccomended amount and I plan to do at least that, nore if it is indicated.
I don't get why we must present this tip envelope to them. It is possible we may not be at dinner the last night and won't be doing the sit down breakfast on the last morning - We go to the
desk and put the tips on our credit card so aren't they still going to know we tipped them?

By the 3rd or 4th night you should know by then what kind of tip your servers deserve. Give it to them when you're ready. I gave it to them on Thursday night. I did go on Friday night to dinner, but I kinda wanted to see their expression after I had already given their tip. I was very generous with the server, and assistant server, but gave the dining room host the minimum. He was nice, and visited our table often, but the enjoyment of all of our dinners was due to the servers not him. I gave the biggest tip to our room hostess. She was BEYOND wonderful. So friendly and accommodating. Whatever we needed she was there for us. She of all, I believe worked the hardest for her money.

you do not HAVE to hand them the envelope - but it's a nice gesture - they will eventually get their tips via Guest Services. But it's nice for them to be able to put faces to the tips that they receive.

We are on the 4 day and on the 4th night have decided to do something different and won't be at dinner with our servers, when should we give them their tips? It will be cash not credit.
