Tipping question

What is the standard rate to tip the housekeeping? Do you tip everyday - or do you leave a tip at the end of the week? If you tip everyday - do you increase the odds of getting towel animals? I think my boys would enjoy that. Thanks for any help.

We tipped between 5-8 per every day depending on how much we had in cash...

We only got towel animals twice

$1 to $2 per person per day left daily, as the person cleaning may change.

We tip $5/day. When we stayed at POFQ this past Sept. we got 1 towel animal, and a "towel hammock" for all of my sons' stuffed animals. It hung between the 2 beds, and it was really cute. Other than that, I do not think tipping increases you chances of getting towel animals, just depends on the person cleaning your room. Besides, we do not tip for that reason anyway.

We just got back from POR from an eleven night stay. We tipped $5 a day (family of four) & received only one towel animal....a square snowman??? Not really sure what it is. Anyway, I don't think tipping has anything to do with getting a towel animal or not. I think it has more to do with who is doing your room & how much time they have available.
