Tipping in the Parks

We had a caricature done and a henna tattoo. We're wondering if it would have been appropriate to tip the artists. Anyone know if these types of workers are allowed to take tips? We should have asked, but we hope to know better next time. Thanks.

I think anyone can accept a tip. For the artists I would feel it appropriate to tip especially if they were drawing something by hand.

If the henna tat was specifically drawn for you then yes, I would tip. It is was the press on type - then no.

It is definitely appropriate to tip. We had a caricature done in Disneyland last summer and tipped the girl who did it generously because our picture was extremely well done. She was also super nice and she made it a very memorable experience.

Tipping is certainly not required, but if you're pleased with the service you received you should consider doing so to show your appreciation... Even if you can only spare a couple of dollars.

Sometimes it's hard to keep track of when to tip though! I only recently learned that I should be tipping my massage therapist. Oops!

Here's what I was taught as a cm:
Tipping waiters/waitresses - acceptable and encouraged
Tipping housekeepers - not needed but very nice and acceptable
Tipping park cms (custodial who cleaned your table, attractions cm who backdoored you into Anna and Elsa, Merch you found the last SW mb band) - not done and will have to be refused by cm. However, they told us that if guest was super insistent we were supposed to accept it as a gracious cm.

And then turn the money into management. As a "starving" cp, guess what I did? Let's just that my acts of kindness, and the guests generosity paid for some groceries! Expect to be refused though.

Note: artists, hair braiders, etc exist as separate from Disney and it's nice to tip them.
