Tipping and DDP

As we have the dining plan do we tip? If so how much? Also is this at all restaurants? As in 2005 my mum tried to tip someone on site at Disney and was told she didn't need to because it was on site. Any help would be great.

To quickly answer your question, yes, you do tip at all table service meals unless it is a meal with the tip included, as an example Hoop Dee Doo.

There are other people you tip also like bell men, ME drivers, etc.. again you will find this info in the sticky thread.

You however are not supposed to tip Club Level CM's.

When you get your receipt for your meal at a TS restaurant, it will have the suggested tipping amounts of 18% and 20% on it. I usually tip 18% unless the waiter has done a phenomenal job. My feeling is if Disney says 18% is standard, then that is what I tip.

Yes, it is no longer included in the dining plan.

in 2005 the gratuity was included on the plan so unless you wanted to add to it you were good. It is no longer included so if you may want to budget money for tips.

It's relevant to the dining plan too, because as of 2008 the dining plan no longer includes tips in most cases.
