tip Mears driver?

Im heading to WDW next week. I used Mears a few months ago on my wdw trip, but didnt tip as I brought only a small luggage with me to go in the hold. Family flying in from another airport so it'll just be me on the Mears ride. Do I need to tip them? Same luggage scenario this time too.

We tip the driver a few dollars. We usually have one luggage and two carry-ons. I keep one carry-on with me on the bus. Rest down below.

When Mears used to operate MDE for Disney, there was a sign at the front of the bus that said something to the effect of "tipping is permitted for exceptional service". Now that Mears run the bus service on their own, I think it would be appropriate to tip if they have to remove your luggage from the hold. Tipping to me would probably be similar to what you might tip a skycap at the airport.

It's customary and polite to tip $1-$2/bag to a bus driver who handles your bags, even if it's just to place them in the cargo hold and take them out -- just as you would to a valet, or Bell Services, etc.

We tend to always tip anyone who handles our bags… driver of The rental car shuttle at airports, skycaps, Mears, bellboys/bell disk, etc

We too always have and will continue to tip anyone who handles our bags.

I always tip a few bucks after unloading the luggage. General rule for me is a dollar a bag.

We always tip someone who handles our bags. Generally speaking, we tip $2 a bag however we usually round up. For example, our family of four had 4 large bags and 4 carry-ons so we tipped the driver $20.

“Need”? No. They won’t hold your bag hostage if you don’t tip.

“Should”? yes. If they move your luggage, you should tip them in the US. In this scenario I would tip $2.

I tip for every bag the driver touches. Usually $2-$5 depending on size per bag.

I tip and would tip, bags or not. These people have my life in their hands! Getting me safely to and from the airport, on time, is worth more to me than pouring a beer, and I tip that guy.
