Has anyone else seen these new Cube World thingys? I was at the mall yesterday and went into the Discovery store. I was looking at hand-held travel games and I spotted these little cubes. They are from Radica and come two cubes to a pack. Each cube has a computer animated stick figure person in it. There are four different stick people, (you'd have to purchase two packs to get all four different people). They have names and each person has something in their cube with them, (dog, ball, whip, or stick).

I picked one up and pressed a button, and this tiny figure picked itself up off the floor and proceeded to jump up and down. I was fascinated with it, and at the same time I found it a little creepy. According to the package, the stick figures can do all sorts of things, even visit from one cube to the other if you put the cubes together. If you turn the cube upside down, the person will fall off the 'ceiling' of the cube, then stand back up the right way.

I thought about these cubes all night, researched them on the internet, then went back to the store today and bought three packs of them for Christmas gifts. The fun thing is, you can play with them without taking them out of the box. :teeth: I'm going to wait on wrapping them!!

They just came out on the market and I was afraid they'd sell out quickly. When I went back to the store, I noticed that there weren't many left. They really look like a lot of fun to play around with.

When I got them home, I kept turning one around and the little guy kept falling over. When I stopped, he stood up and threw up!!

Anyone else see these cube things? Anyone else buy them?

I haven't heard of these, but I think the title of this thread would make an awesome new tag for you! :rotfl2: Tag Fairy?

I just tried to find these on their website and couldn't. What are they called? It sounds like a great gift!

ETA - I just found tehm at Brookstone online. They look really cute!

Never heard of them but am wildly intrigued. Do you have a link to where we can find them?

I just ordered a set as a stocking stuffer for my 14 year old grandson. Will a kid this age like them. One set (2 cubes) was about $42 with shipping and tax and ordering all 4 seemed like a little much. Is 2 cubes ok - or should I order the other 2? Thanks. Great suggestion.

Where did you order from? Brookstones listed four cubes for $30.00 plus shipping.

Hi! I picked up a set for DD15, a set for DS24, and a set for my oldest daughter and her fiance. They look like something that would really be fun for young and old. I've been playing with the ones I bought, (when no one is home!). I don't want to take them out of the box so I don't know everything they can do.

I think two cubes would be fine because the two figures will visit each other's cube. Of course with four cubes there would be more interaction.

I've only seen them at Brookstone and Discovery store, and both places they were selling for $29.00 for a set of two. The Brookstone near me however didn't have any in stock.

The Brookstone site is misleading. It was $30.00 for a set of 2. They have a promotional code CARD for $5.00 that I didn't use darn it.

I'm pretty sure you get two cubes for $30.00. When you click on select, you have to choose from either set.
