Tuesday 26th December

After our nothing kind of day yesterday we decided to head into MK and leave whenever DS had enough. I woke first at just after 7am and once DH was awake I headed down to the lounge for some breakfast. I brought back something for DH and by the time I got back DD was awake so I went and got her something. DS slept on and didn’t wake up until 8:45am. He wasn’t as bad as yesterday so we set off once he had breakfast. We decided to walk and it was a nice stroll and made a pleasant change from the humidity of the summer when such a walk wouldn’t be advisable.

There weren’t as many people as I though and we were soon through bag check and heading up Main Street. First up was Buzz where I won’t mention my score

followed by the Transit Authority. It was then time for High School Musical, DH hadn’t seen this yet and though it was good. The lads went on Space and I went to get us a seat for ‘Twas the night before Christmas. DS and DH went on the Carousel of Progress and then came to find DD and I when they had finished.

It started to rain and we put on ponchos but DS didn’t want to see the show and was getting agitated so he and I headed to Cosmic Ray’s where we had a couple of burgers. DH and DD arrived just as we finished and I got them something to eat.

DS wanted to go on Indy Speedway but we wanted to see the Christmas Parade, he was getting very agitated because we wanted to see the parade first and wasn’t very co-operative and did a lot of giving out. We walked through to Frontier land and this is when we noticed how busy it was.

We found a spot and I got a couple of Ice creams for the kids. The parade was fantastic and well worth seeing; there were loads of characters such as the Fantasia Hippos that you don’t normal see. My favourite bit was the toy soldiers.

When the parade was over we went to Haunted Mansion which was as good as ever, then on to Philharmagic. This is when surprisingly DD had a meltdown as she didn’t want to see this show. She eventually got over it and as it started raining when we left the show we said we’d do Indy Speedway and then leave.

We walked back to the CR and chilled in the room for an hour or so before heading out again. The kids were going to The Neverland Club and DH & I were going to Kona. We caught the monorail to the Polly and walked down to the Neverland Club. The kids were checked in and off without a backwards glance.

DH & I took a stroll around and went to look at the pool and beach area. We will be staying here for a night in the summer to co-inside with Tikifest and we are really looking forward to it. We made our way to Kona and didn’t have to wait long to be seated. I had pot stickers and chicken with noodles, DH had Seafood Chowder then Turkey with rice and a pineapple sauce. I also had a blue glowtini

The meal was lovely and we really enjoyed the setting and will be back. We were too stuffed for deserts (plus we knew we’d get them in the lounge later) but we had some coffee. We took our time over dinner and picked the kids up just before 7pm. We caught the Monorail back and chilled in the room. The kids had a great time as usual and made some friends with a brother and sister from Montana.

Weather The temperature was about 20 degrees cooler we still wore shorts and T-shirts but also needed a light zip top and ponchos for when it rained.

Are you sure the score wasn't 000000 with a line photoshopped in each zero ;)

Glad DS was up for MK :)

Sounds like a great boxing day

Wow, amazing score! Sounds like a lovely day and I am pleased that your son was feeling a bit better. Nice that you could have some couple time, your drink looks very nice.
