Sunday 24th December
I woke up at half 7 this morning still with a sore throat. DH was already awake and he got dressed and headed down to the lounge for breakfast. He got back around 8 just as DD and DS woke up. DD seems to be getting better but now DS is heading downhill. Im thinking of renaming this trippie Tinks Tinsel and Sickness Tour
. The plan for today was Bibbity Bobbity Boutique for DD and the boys were heading to Epcot.
They left just after 9am and DD and I went to do the laundry over in the South Garden wing. We stayed for the wash cycle, which only took about 20 minutes and came back to the room while it was tumble drying. DD washed her hair and got changed into her Cinderella dress, it was a reversible one which we got from M&S and she chose the poor Cinderella side as no one else here seemed to have a dress like it. We went back to collect the washing but it was still a bit damp so I put another $2 in the drier and phoned DH to collect it when he had finished in Epcot.
DD & I caught the bus to DTD and had a look round the shops before checking into for her appointment. We also went to Mc Donalds as DS had seen an advert for their latest Happy Meal Toy which, was Yu-Gi-Oh cards so we had to get him some. I also bought some Disney Crocs which were $34.95 plus tax.
DD was called for her makeover just before 1pm and she was introduced to her Fairy GodMother. The FGM raved about her dress, especially the fact it has a small mouse on it (Gus Gus) and DD was taken round to all the FGMs to show off her dress. Every one wanted to know where I got it as it was so unusual. DD chose the Disney Diva package and her Godmother set to work. We were there for about 45 minutes and DD was delighted with the results.
We made our way back to the resort and I phoned DH who was on the monorail on his way back. He and DS were waiting to board Soarin in the loading area right before you get on the ride and everyone had been given dream fast passes for Epcot. They were delighted and managed to get everything done that they wanted to do. DD & I got back to the room and the boys were just behind us (with the washing.)
We chilled in the room before leaving for the GF at around 4pm. DD is still coughing a lot but feeling better and now DS is feeling very rough so I dont think we are going to get a lot done over the next few days. We got to the GF and there was a lovely tree in the lobby and an orchestra playing Christmas tunes. Minnie was in the lobby in a really snazzy Holiday outfit and DD had her photo taken with her. Santa was also there but she didnt want to meet him.
We had a look at the Gingerbread house and then went outside to have some fruit punch and cookies for the kids and roasted chestnuts for DH & I. We went to check in for our 1900PF ADR and were seated right away.
DS went straight for the pasta and ate about 4 platefuls. I also got him some turkey, which was lovely. DD ate - yep you guessed it - pizza and DH & I sampled the rest of what was on offer. We had a nice meal but DS was feeling very rough so DH took him back to the CR while DD & I waited for Cinderella to get to our table. Cindy soon came and she and the Mice also loved DDs dress.
As DD & I were leaving we spotted a family of Mum, Dad, Granny two kids and a baby - I took a chance and asked the Dad if the babys name was William. The dad looked shocked and a bit worried that a complete stranger knew his childs name but I explained that I was a Disser which made him look even more worried. It was Allie5 and family but as they were waiting to be seated we only had a quick chat but I can confirm that William is even cuter now than in his picture.
DD & I had another quick look round the lobby and then went back to the CR on the monorail. We stopped at the lounge for a drink then went back to the room where DS was already in bed. We watched some TV then the 9pm fireworks - it was cloudy so you couldnt see much of the high ones. After the fireworks we chatted for a bit then it was time for bed so that Santa could come.
DS is feeling very rough and coughing a lot so I am not sure we will make it to the MK tomorrow.
Weather Shorts / T-Shirts. Sunny during the early day then cloudy and raining in the evening.
