Saturday 28th July
I woke at 7am this morning and DD was not far behind. I made coffee and the smell wafted into DH who also got up. DS came down about half 7 and we had breakfast. Everyone got ready and we were on the way to Seaworld by quarter past 8. As it was a Saturday the I-4 wasnt busy so we were there by twenty to nine.
We parked up and went through the turnstiles and got as far as rope drop where we waited until the National Anthem played, then we were off to Kraken. We were amongst the first there but there was a delay of about 10 minutes, the CM took the opportunity to measure DD and a few other smaller children to see if they were tall enough.
DD was and there was a big cheer as people in the line realised it was her first time riding. I waited for them near the exit and she said it was fantastic and wanted to go on again. I took her and DS on but waited at the chicken exit for them.
From Kraken it was on to Wild Atlantis - I couldnt ride as I didnt want to get my legs wet in case it irritated the Noseeum bites even more. Atlantis was another hit and everyone got suitably wet.
It was getting on until 10am so we made our way to Clyde & Seymour and managed to sneak past the mime guy who was as funny as ever. From Clyde and Seymour we made our way to Pets Ahoy, which is another favourite of ours, grabbing a cold drink on the way.
The troops were getting hungry so we made our way to the cypress bakery where we had some cake and a Pepsi for the kids and two cinnamon buns and coffee for DH and I. We decided to go to Wild Arctic and saw the Clydesdale horses on the way who were very impressive.
Wild Arctic was a nice cool break from the scorching heat and we spent about half an hour in there. The kids wanted to go into Shamus Happy Harbour and DH went to get us seats in the Shamu stadium while they did that. He called us on the radio to say the stadium was filling fast and as it was he had got 4 seats right up the back. I got Ice lollies and another drink for the kids while we waited for the show to start. It was great to watch and I am really looking forward to seeing Shamu Rocks later in the holiday.
The heat was getting to us and everyone was tired to we decided to leave and head to Sweet Tomatoes. There were dark clouds gathering and by the time we reached ST there was a heavy thunderstorm overhead and we got drenched getting from the car to the restaurant.
The meal was as good as always and I particularly liked the Chili Cheeseburger Soup. I finished off with my favourite desert there of Ice-cream with sprinkles and caramel sauce.
The rain had passed by the time we finished and it had cooled everything down nicely. We made our way (slowly) up I-Drive to the Sandlake turnoff so that we could get to the new Wal-Mart. It was massive and I managed to get a couple of T-shirts plus something for DS to wear to Tiki fest.
We finally for back to the villa at about half 5 where we spent the evening chilling. I wuped the kids at pool a few times. DD played with the Bratz shed bought and DS made his spongebob Lego.
Eagle eyed DD spotted an Armadillo just outside the pool screen and we all went out for a look. I managed to get a picture but they can move when they want to and he was really quick on his feet.
I also did some washing and packed our case for tomorrow. We went to bed around half 9.
Tomorrow - A side trip to the Polynesian and Tiki Fest
