Saturday 11th August
It was the usual morning routine, DS was tired again and so was DD. She also had a itchy heat rash on her legs so we need to rethink todays plans and keep her out of the sun as much as possible. DH got up about 9 and sounds very snuffly due to the air conditioning. After a quick chat we decided to visit Disney Quest today as we havent been here in a few trips.
I thought it opened at 11am so we set off just before then. We got a parking space OK and again it was already very hot. As we got to DQ there was a small line and it seems they dont open until 11:30am. I send the kids to wait in the air conditioned shop while I waited in line trying not to melt and DH snapped a few pictures. By the time the place opened at 11:30am the line went all around the block and almost to the car park.
Wed bought new 3 way radios so DS and DD had one and so did I. When it was time to go in I sent them in with DH and said Id have a quick look in the sunglasses shop as I still hadnt got a pair. It wasnt the best move as I didnt see any I liked and when I went back to DQ I had to get to the back of the long line which was still nearly in the car park.
Once inside I found DH at the cheesecake factory where we shared these delights along with some coffee.

The kids popped back and forth and it took DS 3 different visits to eat his huge chocolate cake and even then he had to admit defeat and couldnt finish it all. DH and I took turns going around with them and we both noticed that they have put a lot of new machines in since our last visit. There were even machines for younger kids like mini air hockey and drawing games etc.,
We had a great old time here and DS didnt want to leave to go to the cinema, as it turned out we should have listened to him but Im getting ahead of myself. We were going to eat at the Cheesecake factory but the lines were long so we left and walked up to McDonalds. Again we noticed how exceptionally hot it felt and we were all sweaty blobs by the time we arrived. (too much information) We had the usual culinary delights then went next door to the Lego store for a look. DS wanted to buy some Star Wars Lego for $99 but as he had already bought a lot of Lego he was overruled until next time. He also saw a new piece which is being released on 1st October which was even bigger than his Death Star and cost $499 - thank god we wont be here then as wed never get it home although he has a plan to ask his granny if he can have it for a combined Christmas / Birthday present.
We left the Lego store and went back to the cinema for the 4:10pm show of Rat-a-tooie - now we usually love Pixar movies but all of us were bored with this one and though it was a waste of our time and money seeing it - which is a shame.
We went into the Virgin store as DH wanted to get a cover for his 80gb iPod which, he won in a competition and will hopefully be waiting for us when we get home. He got one so he was a happy bunny. DS wanted to pop back into DQ to ride the coaster hes built earlier so we waited for him at the cheesecake factory bit while he did that although none of us wanted anything to eat. When he finished we gathered up all our bags and went home.
Now heres the weird part when we got home and unloaded all our bags we seemed to have acquired and extra black camera bag. Inside was a small digital camera, a small camcorder and some accessories. I am guessing that it must have been left where we were sitting and we picked it up with all our stuff. Luckily the person who owned it wrote their name address and telephone number on a piece of paper inside the bag which I though was a great idea. What well do is take it with us to MK tomorrow and hand it in to guest services there so that they can get it back to whoever lost it.
We spent the rest of the evening back at the villa and DS watched the final of the Disney Channel Games. We were all tired and are really finding this heat draining Id say we were all asleep by 10pm although god knows what time DS went to sleep.
