Tinks Tiki Fest Tour – Day 12 Yu-Gi-Oh and Shopping 4th August

Cast

Me – 45 Never tires of going to Florida
DH – 51 Designated Driver and Now Eligible for a Senior Discount
DS – 10 Six Trips later and still hunting for Yu-Gi-Oh Cards
DD – 9 Wants to be a Pirate Princess

Saturday 4th August

I was up at 7am and you know the routine by now DS, DD then DH. We’d decided on an I-Hop breakfast as we’d never eaten there before and went to the one on I-Drive. We arrived at about 9am and we ordered 4 apple cinnamon pancakes for DH, A chocolate pancake for DD, 3 plain pancakes for DS and scrambled eggs, hash brown and 2 bits of bacon for me. DH & I enjoyed ours, DD didn’t like hers at all and DS ate two pancakes then said mine were nicer. I had to laugh, as the people on the next table were taking photo’s of their kids and we took photo’s of the food (you have to get your priorities right ;) )

We went from I-Hop up to Prime-1 (the mall formally known as Beltz) but it’s not due to open until next weekend so we made a stop at Old Navy where I got some stuff for DD. (it’s tax free week so I had to take advantage of it) Then Bed Bath and Beyond but they didn’t have any nice duvet covers it seemed to be all satin comforters. Finally it was time for DS’s treat and we went into the Festival Bay Mall where there was a Yu-Gi-Oh convention. There were about a 100 nerds - oops sorry Yu-Gi-Oh fanatics who were going to duel each other. All of them had their special decks with them – one guy had his in what looked like an armor plated case. We on the other hand were only there to shop and have a good look round. DS was delighted and got 2 new decks and some individual cards. As well as Yu-Gi-Oh there was also people selling baseball cards and American football stuff.

We left Festival Bay and after getting some Gas went down to the Premium Outlets. It was very hot today and seemed even hotter here. I had a look in Sunglasses Hut but couldn’t bring myself to spend $300 on the only sun glasses I liked (I’m sure I’ll change my mind later in the holiday ;).) DH was in the fudge shop with DS and DD watching the man make some fudge which actually turned out to be really interesting and the got a free sample at the end. It was tasty but very sickly.

We had a look in the Nike shop but it was mobbed so we’ll go to the one on the 192, which isn’t nearly as packed. Next up was TCBY and while the lads had an Ice-cream I went and looked in the Disney Outlet where I bought tops for all of us. There were some pins for $4.99 but nothing I wanted to buy. We did a rest room stop, then while the kids were in KB toys I went into Tommy Kids and bought a lunch box for DS. We bought some coke and our final stop was Sketchers where DS bought a pair of runners for school (the same ones I sold on the Dibb as they were too small) and DS got some sandals.

We were now flagging and needed to get back to the pool to cool off. I went to get a Starbucks for DH and I and by the time I got back he’d brought the car to the entrance. It was very busy at the outlets today and there were loads of people trying to find a parking space.

We got back to the villa about half two and spent a couple of hours in the pool. We showered and changed then ordered a Chinese from China-1 It came in about half an hour and there was tons to eat. I also cooked up some pasta for DS. We played some family pool then the kids got back in the wet pool again and DH sat outside with them while I caught up with the trippies and did some washing.

The kids showered again as the pool had a strong smell of chlorine. We watched the Disney Channel Games before bed about half 9.

Tomorrow MK with an ADR at the Plaza Restaurant
