***Pre-trip Report/Background***

Background
Hi! I'm Tink, a 20 year old Disney obsessive. I come by my obsession genetically as my parents have been going to WDW since it was only The Magic Kingdom, The Poly and the Contemorary. So, when the time came to decided what they wanted to give their daughter for her 21st birthday it is only natural that they fell upon...a trip "Home".

However, there is a bit of backstory to how this trip came to pass. I'll make it brief. My best friend of 17 years and I have been planning to return to WDW since August of 2003 and this May was going to be our return. We had booked a room at CSR, were looking for afforable flights and were pumped about it...or so I thought. I get a call from my friend in January, something sounded different. She drops a bomb on me that her sister and brother-in-law are planning to book a last minute deal to Mexico in May...THE SAME WEEK AS OUR TRIP...and, here's the kicker...she wants to go WITH THEM! Needless to say, I was devestated, months of planning shattered in seconds :sad2:

That very same day, my parents told me that they had been planning to take me to WDW as a surprise for my 21st birthday, but felt that I needed something to cheer me up, and that I would have just as much fun planning it as I would going on it. Afterall...I am the Disney Guru of my house...the holder of all knowledge that is Disney :teacher: hehe. So that is how my trip came to pass! pixiedust:

Cast
Myself - :tink: Tink: age 20 (turning 21 on Mar 25th) The Disney Guru, the one who finds the discounts, the one who makes the ADRs and reservations, the planner extraordinaire! 21st trip to WDW
My Mom - ::MinnieMo: age withheld at penalty of death. The one who quotes the White Rabit ("we're late! we're late!") the one who brings us breakfast (the only morning person in our family), the one who is seriously snap happy (hundreds of pictures are a result of this snaphappiness!) 27th trip to WDW
My Dad - ::MickeyMo same age policy as above. Nearly as Disney obsessive as myself. My thrill ride buddy! (mom has motion sickness lol) The one who could eat at Chefs de France for EVERY meal...AND...The one with the credit card! 26th trip to WDW

The Plan
Trip Dates: March 23rd tp the 28th
Resort: Disney's Beach Club
Passes: Premium Annual Passes (1st time passholders! Woohoo!)

We are an Epcot family. It is our favorite park and try as we might we somehow managed to end up there EVERY night of our vacation. We love the atmosphere of World Showcase, just wandering it as the sun sets, trying the restaurants from around the world (Or should I say dragging my Dad away from Chefs de France to try the restaurants around the World ( :lmao: ). For this reason we picked the Beach Club. Having already stayed at the Yacht Club in August 2003, we decided that the theme of the Beach Club better suited our family. Plus, the fact that Epcot is a 5 minute walk is a HUGE selling feature.

The annual passes were purchased because we were originally planning 2 trips. One in March for my birthday and another in Oct for the Food and Wine Festival. However, I convinced my parents that if we wanted to get the most out of our passes we should make a 3rd trip :cool2: and that I would be glad to pay for the airfare if they would pick up the resort and dining. I crossed my fingers and with a little bit of pixiedust pixiedust: they agreed! :cloud9:
:worship: :worship: :worship:

Sooo...we are going to WDW 3 times this year! March, August and Oct!! :woohoo: And I am determined to document each trip with lots of pics and detailed reviews :)

So far the dining choices for this trip are:
Le Cellier
Alfredos
Chefs de France
Rose and Crown Dining Room
50s Primetime Cafe
Columbia Harbor House
Flame Tree BBQ
Wolfgang Puck Express
Beaches and Cream

Well, I think thats about all for now :)

Sounds like you are gonna have a blast!!! I would love to go to WDW for my birthday. I'd have to bribe my hubby. I need a family like yours.

Sounds like a great way to celebrate your 21st birthday! I highly recommend heading over to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk to celebrate your birthday! The piano players will make it extra special :)

Happy upcoming bday, Tink! Sounds like your 21st will be celebrated in style! We'll be celebrating here for my littlest one, who shares your birthday (she's only going to be 3, though. ) :lovestruc

Looking forward to reading the rest of your report.
