Is it ever possible to meet Tinkerbell - out of the 25-30 trips to Disneyworld/land I have always wondered - possibly by the castle before the fireworks or where she lands -- Just got back from a trip 3 weeks ago --- and I must say it was the greatest disney trip I have ever had!

you can see her fly...but you won't meet her, she lands on top of a building, and is whisked away back stage

Is she an actual person? Where does she fly from and to where? Do you know when she usually flies?

She flies from the castle down to the top of another building at the start of the fireworks.

Here is the deal...Tink is a real person....she can't weigh more than 110 pounds....she flies from the top of the castle, down the wire, and lands on the building top. She than is taken back stage. and gets to go home.....

This is something I've never heard of before. So more info pleaseeee....

She "flies" from the top of the castles and lands somewhere in TomorrowLand. This happens towards the beginning of the nightime fireworks show "Wishes". I felt the same way you did last year, and then on our honeymoon, I made a point to see this spectacle for the first time. I really thought it was magical. Of course she doesn't REALLY fly, but but watching it makes you feel overwhelmed with wonder!

Thanks for all the info -- I am a huge Tink fan (well Peter Pan in general) JM Barries book is my favorite and had the great oppurtunity of meeting Peter Pan and Wendy this past trip!

I wish I would have been around the days when Mary Poppins flew up to the castle at the end of the fireworks as well! My two favorite people! (they took this away apparently because men were looking up Mary's skirt...)

The new "Wishes" display is phenomenal! We saw "Dreams" at the Land and it was great as well! The new draw for "Magical Gatherings" is a great idea! There were charectors everywhere - more than I have ever seen at Disney world before! People like Mary Poppins and Mulan spent a great deal of time talking and playing with the kids on our trip - it often brought me to tears!and the staff was so kind to everyone!

This will definitly get Disney back to the old standards - or perhaps better!

The only thing to make it even better is to bring the electrical parade back!

This is what I was told - and I'll do a bit of research to make sure it is true - just like Tink flying over you at the beginning of the fireworks -- after the fireworks at the begginning years of the park's life, Mary Poppins would fly up to the top of the castle, umbrella in hand... I was told they stopped that because people were complaining that Men could look up her skirt during her magical flight... leave it to a man to ruin a perfectly wonderful thing!

My last trip was a few weeks ago with my whole family and all of the kids - -it was amazing -- but Mary Poppins may have been my favorite person we met -- My Nephew went up to her (he is 2 - and fell in love with all the charectors) and she talked to him for about 5 minutes - she even sang to him! It was incredible -- a similar thing happened between him, wendy and Peter -- they were great!
