Tinker Bell's First Flight?

I thought that I would bring this question to the experts! Disney is releasing a series of pins for WDW called "Magical Milestones Pin Collection". One of the pins is "Tinker Bell's First Flight, July 3, 1985". I presume they are referring to when Tinker Bell Slides down the wire at the Mk. My DW and I were married in 1986, but I remember Tinker Bell flying down that wire many years before that. Is it Just me, or is disney wrong on the date on this one.
