Some friends are going to Disney next week. They are staying offsite. Magic Kingdom opens at 7am for onsite guests, but obviously my friends can't enter the park until 8am. How busy do you think the Tinker Bell meet & greet will be at 8am?

I don't know about the morning, but I met Mickey today during the parade and the whole theater was empty. If they can't do it in the morning, maybe you could suggest that to them.

I doubt it will be too busy. We went yesterday around 2pm and we walked right in.

We saw Tinkerbell with no wait after MSEP in October. Obviously next week will be dramatically busier, but the same trends may apply.

Wait times for Tink have fallen dramatically since they dropped the other fairies. I think it averages around 15minutes. easywdw posts waits, you can look it up by time of day there.

Josh did a post a couple of days ago where he said the best time to meet the Town Square characters -- talking Mickey and Tink -- is during the parade or just after it.

"...[T]his is basically the best time of the day to visit Mickey and Tinker Bell in Town Square as the Parade restricts access to this area. If you’re interested in meeting the characters during the Parade, you should try to be here no later than 2:45pm or at least be on the Tomorrowland side of Main Street so you can more easily walk over here. You could also opt to see the Parade in this area just inside the entrance, which is a recommended location, and then quickly pop into Mickey or Tink immediately after the Parade passes."

they should choose a dif. park to go to that day and go to MK on a day there is no extra magic hours for resort guests. not just for tink, but for anything. if you are not (or cannot) take advantage of EMH, that is the park you should avoid.

That would be great, but MK has morning EMH everyday over Christmas week.
