Tink143's Planning Journal - March 18, 2008 - SBP/HDDMR - 7/18 New Fun Stuff!

Hey Michelle...I just looked at the pics with DF...shhhh! I told him I hadn't looked at them yet....He was asleep and I'm impatient.
I love all of the ones you love! The last one I had done something to make my hair stay behind me, and Randy was like NO! make it hang down and blow in the breeze...Glad he did that! I'm SO excited about these pictures! Can't wait to get the prints!

Comfort is the absolute biggest to me too...well on my feet, nevermind that my dress is a corset, and my step-mom is REALLY good at getting me in the thing tight! When I tried my actual dress on last week, she told me to bend over and pull up "the girls" I said are you kidding me? I can't bend over! Don't know how Scarlett O'hara did that!!!!

Have a great Wednesday! Thanks for reading!

Thanks for sharing your engagement photos! That was a great idea to have some shot at WL and then along the beach. Michelle picked some great photos, but I also like #27, 34, 61, 68...

When did you have your photos taken? I'm holding off on ours until at least October. Now I'm not sure if I want WL or POR! :scratchin

Lisa,
I love the pictures. :thumbsup2 They look great! I love the matching outfits, its really cute.

ok Lisa, I just had time to look over the second set....really liked #15, #42 (your hair looks awesome!), #71 BUT my absolute favorite  is:

#94!!! FABULOUS!!!!!!

Michelle :cloud9:

Thanks for checking out my pictures! I'm glad to hear someone objective say something about my hair...I had planned on someone doing it, but she "forgot" we had an appointment!? Needless to say I have booked someone else for the wedding, and I did my hair myself that morning...

My family is cracking me up, I sent them the link to the pictures, and they all keep emailing me the numbers they like to, saying they don't know how I'm going to chose...Ummm...I don't have to chose, I get the CD with ALL of them on it! Don't they listen when I talk!? :rotfl:

Thanks again Michelle! I need you to send me some "shop on ebay" patience...I can't find anything cool like what you've found, I just get frustrated and quit...

Thanks....Travis actually picked them out. He has worked at the Disney store off and on for the last five years, and his store was closing so he got them cheap! Not to mention enough Christmas bags to last us like 5 years, for .10-.25 cents each! :woohoo: Can't wait to use them!

Our shoes match too...again DF...he goes out and buys shoes more frequently than I do...shoe shopping has frustrated me my whole life, so whenever he finds a pair in both of our sizes he buys them(mine is bigger  ), and they have to be Nikes!
Thanks for reading and checking out my pictures!

Sorry I wasn't trying to ignore your post. We took our pictures June 4th...at Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian...if you are using Randy, he let us pick two spots! It doesn't look like it, but it was so hot that day! We were sweating big time at WL...I was mainly hot, cause I had to wear an undershirt otherwise my tattoos (on my back) kinda show through :rolleyes1

Okay...I got a few more assorted items...I bought some XLarge Red Gift Bags, which I'm going to create a Silver Card to attach to the front for our Welcome bags...I'll post a pic when I figure that out.

Also...Thank you Michelle for inspiration...I shopped eBay one night...and found a Mickey Vase that I'm planning to use for our sand ceremony...luckily the lady selling it lives 5 minutes from me, so we saved the trouble of shipping and paying for shipping it! It's SUPER heavy! We just met at the Jack In the Box down the road...How lucky is that!? :cool1:

Then I found some sachets to put quarters and pennies in for our guests' pressed penny scavenger hunt...we bought the pressed penny book for each family while we were at WDW in May...

Then I ordered a letter seal (and silver wax) to make wax seals for our announcement/invitation...I know it's kinda old school, I just think it'll be kinda cool looking!

Another part of my plan is to mail the announcements from Orlando as soon as we arrive, so that they'll get stamped with Orlando, FL and arrive just after the wedding.
Last addition of the day, I found some cute buckets at Wal-Mart .97 each! I plan to use them for our dinner afterwards for crayons for the kids...plus they'll be cute after the wedding for my son to have!

I found the hat boxes to make the card box for the At-Home Reception (thanks Kimberly!)...I just haven't gotten brave to cut or glue them yet...but I am going to paint them silver, and paint "Cards" in Navy Blue. I'll post ASAP!

That's all for now! Randy (Linda) mailed our CD and pictures yesterday, so I'm waiting patiently...my son's getting tired of me asking him to check the mail! :rotfl:

Lisa,

If you need any assistance, Let me know. I have learned a few tips and tricks - I used a hot glue gun to attach them...glue from the inside of the ears its shows alot if you glue from the outside. I thought I would be able to glue it and then sand it flush with the front..I was wrong. so glue from the inside/back of the ear. The most intimidating part is starting. One they are attached you won't want to stop!

The rest of your planning journal sounds great!! I just love that black and white dress on the first page. I think it would be gorgious in Navy!!

I was looking at the mickey vase for the sand ceremony as well. The only reason I don't purchase it is, I dont know what to pour the sand from, the two matching smaller ones that hold our individual sand. Have you thought about what you will be using??

Cant wait to hear more, and see how your card box comes out!!:yay:

I'm not sure yet...but I'm going to need three vases, because my son is going to participate in it. Every "Family Ceremony" set I've looked at I didn't really care for, and they were somewhat expensive! I've found a few that were nesting vases, and they were sold as a set of three.
Now all I need to do is create some sort of cork to fit inside it!
Thanks for the encouragement on the card box...I definitely have "start a project anxiety", but I guess if I really screw it up, I can just go buy another!

i know I am a little late joining the party but I wanted to say I love your engagement photos! they looks so cute! looks like yall had fun!:goodvibes

That statement has been the motto of my entire wedding!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is great! Travis said something the other day about me spending money, I spent $185 for all of our wedding "stationary"...I made sure to inform him that to buy regular invitations it was $183.90 for 25 invitations, not to mention envelopes, response cards, thank you cards, etc. He gave up the fight! :rotfl:

Thanks Heather...It was a lot of fun...Randy Rocks! That whole experience made me SUPER excited about the wedding! As if I wasn't excited enough as it was! :rotfl:

Thanks for reading!

lol...believe it or not, I do most of my shopping from the office when the boss is out!! I've gotten quite good at it ....hhhmmm, maybe I should be a professional shopper!! :rotfl: :rotfl: the fun thing with eBay is to play around with the words for what you are searching for. and I usually look at the list in order of newest listed or most expensive .....as long as you know what you want to spend , it works pretty good!

have fun!

That dress is STUNNING on you! I completely understand about the shoes! My DF is a little bit shorter than I am (I'm only 5'6" mind you, but still!!) So i can't wear heels... so i'm wearing flip flops!! You will be so much more comfy in those ballet slippers!! Your plans sound great so far, can't wait to here more! And your engagement photos are great! Congratulations!!

Thanks for reading...I really hope DF likes the dress...WAY before I bought the dress...you know during the endless searches through bridal magazines, we saw a picture of it...neither one of us liked it in the picture, but on me I fell in love with it...I just hope he does too! Definitely understand the being "shorter than him" thing. I used to always swear growing up I'd never date/marry a shorter man, but you know a tall guy (or 4) that treats you like garbage, or a little bit shorter man that loves you (and your son)...yeah, no contest! Have a great day!

Its kind of funny that he kept pretending like he would propose then tie his shoe Lol but if I were you after the 3rd or 4th time i would be irritated too!

I LOVE your flats... I am wearing flats for the wedding too... Even though I am a heel girl but I want to be comfortable....
