Well after 365 days of planning (well it seems that long, but in reality it’s only been a couple of months!) we will finally be departing on the 1pm Virgin flight from Gatwick to sunny (hopefully) Orlando.:cool1::cool1:

Cast:
Me, Tina, 49 in real years, but 35 at heart!
Emily, my darling 16 year old niece
Hockey mom and good friend, Jan
Hockey player extraordinaire, (Jan’s son) Toby aged 8

Thursday 9 December
Dday will have finally arrived and characteristically, I will be up at the crack of dawn to leave for the airport. I always seem to leave for Gatwick at least 6 hours before departure as traffic on the M25 can be terrible (we live about 45 mins away from Gatwick)– or if I’m truthful, the control freak in me kicks in and insists that we’re up and out in record time and at the airport with around 4/5 hours to spare. Emily and I will be flying out together with Jan and Toby flying out on the 11th or 12th.

We should arrive in Orlando at around 17.25 and assuming that all of our cases make it we will be ready for a stretch limo ride to the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal for 2 nights of relaxation – yeah in my dreams! - we have a military assault planned involving the Bishop family (Louise, Buzz for Boys).

Friday 10 December
05.00 – I have never managed to sleep after this time on my first day, so I will be wide awake and raring to go!

07.15 – Meet Louise and family at the entrance to Harry Potter World. Louise will have to be up extra early as she will be checking into her Universal hotel so that she can get early entrance and resort guest cards.

This is the first time that Louise and I have met, as although we’ve spoken on the phone several times and text and mail each other, we’ve never actually met up so I’m sooo looking forward to meeting her, Wayne and the children.

Now here’s the complicated part – I hate indoor roller coasters and am a bit of a softy at heart, so Louise and I will do a kid swap, which means that I get to do the tame rides and Emily gets to do scary stuff with Louise, Wayne and whichever of their children want to do scary stuff!

08.30 – We all have breakfast booked at the Three Broomsticks, courtesy of our Universal package.

The rest of the day we plan to march onto as many rides as is humanly possible in a day with a dinner and cocktails in the evening and then bed as Em and I will be shattered!

Saturday 11 December
Another military style assault on Universal parks for the whole day is planned. In the evening Em and I will transfer to the Polynesian for 8 nights.

Sunday 12 December
Nothing planned during the day, but will probably be the Magic Kingdom or shopping. Wonder which one will win!! I also need to validate my annual pass to get the wonderful room discounts.

In the evening we have dinner booked at Narcoossees, which is one of my fav restaurants

Monday 13 December
Parks or shopping

Tuesday 14 December
Parks or shopping

Wednesday 15 December
Fantasmic Dinner package at Mama Melrose. Unfortunately could only get 14.05 for dinner before the 18.30 show. Will keep calling to see if they have later availability as this is just too early for us.

Thursday 16 December
Parks or shopping

Friday 17 December
Big day as it will be Toby’s 9th birthday so we have breakfast booked at Chef Mickeys and in the evening we are attending MVMCP.

Saturday 18 December
Candlelight Processional package with dinner (hahahaha) booked for 13.55 in Le Cellier as this was the latest we could get for the 17.00 show.

Sunday 19 December
Our last day – boo. We return on the 18.05 Virgin flight.

That's all for now.
