Highs
  • Meeting the Bishop family. We got on so well with them and Emily liked being with them alot as she found my friend Jan quite high maintenance.
  • Royal Pacific Resort - we liked everything about it
  • Epcot Fireworks
  • Shopping – bargains galore

Lows
  • The weather – it was freezing most days and definitely coat, scarf and gloves weather. Probably the coldest I have ever experienced in Orlando
  • Polynesian Resort – sorry all you Poly lovers, but the only thing it’s got going for it is the location:
  • The bus service was appalling and is the worst I have ever experienced at Disney
  • Housekeeping were terrible – we were four people in a room and not once during our 8 day stay did they deliver enough towels or toiletries – only enough for 2 people. Every day we had to ring for more.
  • The room was tatty and in need or refurbishment.
  • The shower was awful, it was old and had no power to it
  • We never once got a Disney towel design left for us
  • There are far too many people staying at this resort for the tiny counter service cafe they have. Not once did Em and Toby get a seat for breakfast, they had to stand or sit outside in the corridor and eat it

All in all it was a very good holiday, but 10 days just was not enough time, especially when we spent two days shopping. I still absolutely love the Christmas celebrations in Orlando and will never tire of them, or the people. We chatted to many new people whilst in lines and had lots of fun.

Thanks for reading

Hi

Have done New Year a few times and would say that it is simply 'the best', The parks are busy with crazy waiting times but the whole experience is just great with the fireworks being spectacular on NYE itself.:thumbsup2

I've really enjoyed your report, Tina. What a shame The Poly didn't come up to expectations.

I'm hoping to do Nov or Dec in 2013 as I loved the Christmas bits last time as well
