I will be turning 50 next year and want to do a family trip to Disney and Universal in 2020, but not likely the week of my birthday as that would be a busy Spring Break week. I was considering either the last week of January or the week after Thanksgiving, before Pop Warner week starts. I have never been to MVMCP so that is a plus to the holiday time but I'm wondering which time is likely to be busier given Galaxy's Edge opening. The other thing I should mention is that I'm trying to schedule it so my younger son who is currently overseas in the military, and will be stationed back in the US by this fall will be able to join us so January might be a little difficult for his schedule as he can't put in for his leave until he is at his new station. I know the crowds are going to be higher next year, so I'm trying to pick the least worst option I can.

We've been debating resort wise between YC/BC/BW area or maybe 2 rooms at Caribbean Beach. If we did the later week, I could also look into renting points at BCV or BWV.

If DS joins you Shades of Green is a great option. It is close to the Poly and rooms are large. They also have a great breakfast package that is reasonable and good!! We stayed there a couple years ago. Our only complaints were transportation but it was the week after Christmas, so very busy!! Happy 50th!!

Thanks Tinkerjo. We won't know for sure until DS #2 is at his new station this fall, but he is going to put in for a leave once he's there for the end of November / beginning of December week so I'm hoping we will be able to try Shades of Green this trip.
