We are planning to eat dinner at CRT on our trip in December. I want to try and plan it so that we are eating during the fireworks. We don't have to make our ADR's until June, and the park hours should be up by then. How many minutes before the fireworks should I try and get an ADR to insure that we are sitting during the fireworks? We are planning on going on a Tuesday, and last year on Tuesdays in December the fireworks were at 6:00pm. I was thinking that if I made the ADR's for 5:30pm that we should at least be seated by the time the fireworks start. Any help on this matter would be great. I have all my ADR's picked, I just need to get approximate times for each.

When we were there the fireworks were at 10 and we had dinner at 7:30. They started just after we got our desert! I was wonderful timing!!!

Sounds like amazing timing. I'm happy with the fireworks going off anytime after we sit down.

We did this about 2 weeks ago. Fireworks were at 8:00, so I made our reservation for 7:45 and made sure we checked-in to the restaurant no later than 7:30. We were seated at 7:55. Perfect timing! Just make sure you give yourself time to get into the castle. There was Spectro that night which already crowded the area, plus they start closing down the castle area about an hour before the fireworks. We could stay inside the castle hallways since we had a reservation, even if we hadn't yet checked in. They won't let anyone in when they do fireworks testing, but they'll let you in before and after. Our friends had a really tough time meeting us there since they didn't arrive to the MK until after 7.

I didn't even think about them having to close the castle down for the fireworks. I read somewhere on that Tuesday nights usually was a night they had MVMCP. The plan for that day was to be at AK until about 3:30-4ish and then head over to the MK.

Yes, I wouldn't have thought about the castle area being closed down either, except I read it in the archives here. We actually got to the castle at 6:30, and they were already starting to put up the ropes. I wouldn't let our group leave the area, and security let us know when we had to move inside the castle. We told them one of our group was still arriving, and they assured us they would be able to get in the back way once the fireworks testing was done, which they did. I must admit I got a bit stressed about it since I really wanted to be inside and seated by fireworks time.
